- • As a Principal Data Analyst specializing in data modeling and ArcGIS, you will serve as a Technical Data Steward responsible for ensuring the integrity, scalability, and trustworthiness of Vision Service Plan’s Global Data Warehouse, enabling data-driven decision-making across enterprise, pillar, and line-of-business functions.
- • You will partner with executive stakeholders, product owners, data architects, engineers, and business analysts to define analytics roadmaps, scope strategic initiatives, and translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions that support self-service analytics, predictive modeling, and digital transformation.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing advanced data analysis such as sampling, modeling, profiling, and statistical evaluation; assessing data quality, lineage, and business relevance of enterprise and master data sources; and recommending optimal data sources and cleansing strategies to meet organizational data quality standards.
- • You will provide leadership and guidance to Business Analysts and junior Data Analysts by interpreting technical findings, advising on data source selection, and advocating for best practices in data governance, metadata management, and business glossary alignment with privacy and compliance requirements.
- • A core aspect of your role involves administering and configuring the Enterprise Information Catalogue and business glossary, as well as supporting the Enterprise Performance Management application to ensure technical metadata is accurate, secure, and aligned with data protection standards.
- • You will collaborate within an agile, cross-functional team comprising data architects, engineers, BI developers, and Scrum masters to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions, adapting or developing business rules for classification, forecasting, simulation, optimization, and summarization to meet evolving analytical needs.
- • You will champion the use of data as a strategic asset by fostering collaboration across teams to enable insight generation, dashboarding, advanced analytics (including AI/ML integration), and corporate performance management initiatives that drive innovation and operational excellence.
- • Through your expertise in SQL, geospatial analysis (ArcGIS), and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake), you will work with granular raw data from operational systems to build robust, reusable data models that power reliable reporting and forecasting across the organization.
- • Your strong communication and leadership skills will be essential in facilitating workshops, gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders, and presenting complex technical concepts in clear, accessible terms to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • This role offers the opportunity to grow as a trusted data leader within a large, matrixed organization, where you can influence enterprise-wide data strategy, mentor peers, and contribute to the evolution of VSP’s analytics capabilities in a remote-first, innovative environment.
🎯 Requirements

- • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience performing data analysis across legacy, cloud, and packaged applications using SQL and analytical toolsets
- • Proven experience (6+ years) creating detailed technical specifications, metadata, and release documentation for data analytics solutions
- • Demonstrated proficiency with modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and GIS platforms, specifically ArcGIS, including geospatial data modeling and mapping
- • Experience working in cloud data warehouse environments such as Snowflake, including data ingestion, transformation, and querying at scale
- • Strong cross-functional leadership abilities, with a track record of aligning stakeholders in large matrixed organizations to gather requirements and deliver analytics products
