- • As a Principal Data Scientist in the Insights & Intelligence (i2) organization at Northrop Grumman, you will lead analytical projects that drive high-impact business decisions by embedding trusted AI and data insights into enterprise-wide operations, supporting revolutionary systems that shape national security and technological advancement.
- • Day to day, you will work directly with stakeholders to scope problems, develop statistical and machine learning models, build production-grade AI/ML applications using tools like Streamlit and Dash, write production-quality Python code on AWS and Databricks, and deliver insights via executive reports, dashboards, and direct consultation.
- • You will join a high-autonomy team that operates at the intersection of data science and engineering, collaborating closely with program leaders and subject matter experts to turn complex business challenges into scalable, production-ready analytics solutions.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in MLOps, cloud-based analytics, and advanced statistical techniques while owning end-to-end analytical workflows—from problem framing to deployment—and influencing strategic decisions across the enterprise.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, data analysis, or a related field
- • Strong proficiency with Python, SQL, and Git
- • Proven ability to develop and deploy machine learning models in production environments
- • Excellent communication skills to deliver actionable recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
- • Experience with AWS and Databricks for data processing and model development (Preferred)
- • Familiarity with MLOps, containerization (e.g., Docker), and advanced analytical techniques such as causal inference or time series forecasting (Preferred)
