- • As a Principal Engineer at Ironclad, you will architect and evolve a platform that enables lawyers to scale their work 100x more effectively using AI at the core, transforming how contracts are managed and insights are derived.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to spec, design, build, and verify AI-powered features and systems, while owning and evolving core platform architecture for multi-tenant scale, reliability, and safety.
- • Ironclad is the leading AI contracting platform trusted by transformative organizations like Rivian, WHO, and the Associated Press, recognized as a Leader in Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant, and backed by top investors including Accel, Sequoia, and Y Combinator.
- • You will drive end-to-end delivery of AI-powered product experiences, mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, grow the team through hiring, and work with a modern stack including TypeScript, React, Node.js, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP—while applying LLMs, RAG, semantic search, and classification to advance contract intelligence.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 10+ years of software experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining complex systems
- • Demonstrated leadership across teams with a focus on improving technical architecture and achieving company-wide goals
- • Deep experience designing and evolving large-scale, distributed SaaS or platform architectures (e.g., multi-tenant, event-driven, or data platforms)
- • Experience building AI applications and shipping AI-powered product features to production, ideally including LLM integration, retrieval, experimentation, and measurement
- • Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
