📋 Description

• As a Principal Engineer at WunderGraph, you will serve as a technical leader and architect who bridges deep engineering expertise with customer impact, guiding teams to build scalable, secure, and innovative digital products while maintaining a lean, high-velocity engineering culture.
• Day to day, you will spend at least 50% of your time coding in Go, TypeScript, and NextJS, making architectural decisions across the stack, leading PoCs for new technologies, supporting customer-facing technical meetings, enforcing coding and security standards, and collaborating with product and customer success teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
• You will join a fast-growing, fully remote startup backed by eBay, Karma Ventures, and Aspenwood Ventures, where the culture emphasizes autonomy, transparency, and getting stuff done — with a mission to eliminate friction in bringing digital ideas to life through a collaborative, end-to-end platform.
• In this role, you will grow as a technical leader by shaping engineering standards, mentoring senior and junior engineers, influencing hiring and vendor decisions, driving AI adoption across teams, and owning cost and compliance outcomes — all while having a direct impact on WunderGraph’s product, security, and scalability at scale.

🎯 Requirements

• Profound experience in various programming languages and styles, ideally in TypeScript and Go, covering the entire stack
• Proven track record of building full solutions (vs. parts), ideally in the SaaS space
• Proven track record of working with customers to build / improve a product
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Self-starter with a clear sense of priorities - no hand-holding needed
• Ability to thrive in a 100% remote environment and enjoy working with a global team
