- • Own the technical heartbeat of a life-saving SaaS platform. As Principal Engineer you will architect, build and harden a multi-tenant data engine that ingests millions of public data points on healthcare professionals, fuses them in real time and surfaces AI-driven insights to half of the world’s top-20 pharma giants—accelerating the adoption of breakthrough medicines for patients who need them most.
- • Spend 80 % of your time writing production-grade Python and the remaining 20 % acting as a hands-on player-coach who elevates the entire engineering org through pair-programming, design reviews and lightning-fast feedback loops. You will be the go-to authority for data pipelines, LLM integrations and cloud-native scalability, yet you will still commit code every day.
- • Drive the AI-change agenda end-to-end: prototype new generative-AI features that classify and forecast HCP influence, productionise LLM-powered summarisation and recommendation services, and validate model performance against stringent pharma-grade quality standards. Your work will move straight from notebook to production, impacting global drug-launch campaigns within weeks, not quarters.
- • Master the full product life-cycle in a semi-Kanban environment. From early-stage R&D spikes through scalable ETL, automated testing, continuous deployment on AWS and post-release monitoring, you will touch every layer—data ingestion, transformation, API, UI and analytics—ensuring 99.9 % uptime for a platform that medical affairs teams rely on daily.
- • Bridge three worlds—programming, data/AI and business—without drifting into line management. You will translate complex clinical stakeholder needs into pragmatic technical designs, prioritise features that maximise patient impact and craft elegant abstractions that let the product scale to new therapeutic areas and geographic markets.
- • Champion architectural pragmatism: decide when to refactor vs. when to ship, choose the right AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker, RDS, etc.) for cost-efficient scale, and design tenancy isolation strategies that keep each pharma client’s data secure while enabling cross-client benchmarking insights.
- • Optimise for speed and scientific rigour simultaneously. Build automated data-quality monitors that catch schema drift before it corrupts downstream models, implement blue-green deployments that roll back in <30 s, and create reproducible ML pipelines so regulatory audits become a non-event.
- • Mentor a cross-functional squad of data engineers, backend developers and data scientists in Wrocław while collaborating with distributed teams in Switzerland, UK, Germany and the Netherlands. Your code reviews and lunch-and-learn sessions will set the bar for clean architecture, test coverage and ethical AI practices across the entire PeakData engineering family.
