- • As a Principal FP&A Analyst at Lendable Ltd, you will own the backend modelling and reporting that underpins company-wide planning, forecasting, and performance management, directly influencing strategic decisions that drive the growth and profitability of one of the UK’s fastest-growing fintech unicorns. Your work will ensure financial integrity and clarity across a multi-product environment, enabling leadership to act with confidence on data-driven insights.
- • You will build, maintain, and continuously refine sophisticated financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across current and future products, including scenario, sensitivity, and stress-testing analysis, while designing and maintaining analytical dashboards that surface key financial and operational metrics for fast, confident decision-making. You will serve as the primary finance partner to product, data, and engineering teams, owning alignment on metrics, data definitions, and reporting standards to ensure a single source of financial truth, and champion the effective use of FP&A tooling (Abacum) while evaluating emerging technologies like ML/AI to improve forecast accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- • You will leverage LLMs and generative AI to enhance FP&A productivity through automated reporting narratives, faster variance commentary, and intelligent summarisation of financial data for senior stakeholders, and use Python, SQL, and other analytical tools to work with large, complex datasets, automating reporting pipelines and eliminating manual work. You will take ownership of financial governance from data inputs and model integrity through to output quality and auditability, and translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders, proactively surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities.
- • You will identify and lead automation initiatives across the finance team, working within a high-performing, mission-driven culture at Lendable — a profitable, investor-backed fintech unicorn with over 700 employees, known for rebuilding consumer finance products from scratch and delivering money to customers in minutes instead of days. You’ll collaborate in small teams of exceptional, relentlessly resourceful individuals who build best-in-class technology in-house using new data sources, machine learning, and AI.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in modern FP&A practices at the intersection of finance, technology, and AI, gaining hands-on experience with generative AI for financial narration, advanced modelling in Python and SQL, and cross-functional leadership in a high-growth environment. You will have the opportunity to shape how performance is measured across the organisation, define executive reporting and KPI frameworks, and materially impact Lendable’s trajectory as it expands into the UK and US markets, where trillions of financial products are held by legacy institutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong academic background in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, or similar
- • Solid understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- • Experience building financial models
- • Proficiency in SQL and Python
- • Comfort using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini)
- • Instinct to question metric definitions and thrive in ambiguity while bringing rigour to analysis
