- • The Principal HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor to senior technology leaders in Engineering, Product, Design, and Medical Intelligence, directly shaping organizational effectiveness during a critical phase of rapid growth and scaling. This role is pivotal in aligning people strategy with business objectives to ensure Function Health can execute its mission of enabling people to live 100 healthy years through data-driven, proactive health insights.
- • Day to day, the incumbent will partner with C-suite and executive technology leaders to design organizational structure, translate business priorities into talent strategies, and drive leadership effectiveness; lead key people initiatives including performance management, talent density, and leadership capability building; coach senior leaders on feedback, performance, and team development during periods of change; collaborate with recruiting to attract and retain top technical talent in competitive markets; and diagnose organizational challenges to implement solutions that enhance clarity, accountability, and team effectiveness while operating in an evolving, build-phase environment.
- • The Technology organization at Function Health is a high-impact, rapidly scaling team responsible for building the AI-powered health platform that underpins the company’s mission; it operates within a remote-first U.S. workforce backed by leading investors like a16z and Redpoint, and is entering a growth phase requiring sophisticated people systems to sustain innovation and execution velocity.
- • In this role, the HRBP will develop deep expertise in scaling technical organizations, refine their ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority, and gain experience translating complex business goals into actionable people strategies that enhance speed, accountability, and performance — positioning them for future leadership in HR or organizational development within high-growth tech environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of HR experience with deep expertise in HR business partnering
- • Proven experience supporting Engineering, Product, or other technical organizations in high-growth technology companies
- • Strong business acumen and ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leaders, including influencing decisions and navigating complex organizational dynamics
- • Comfort operating in environments with ambiguity and rapid change, with demonstrated judgment in balancing speed with thoughtful decision-making
