- • As a Principal PLM Demo Architect at PTC Inc., you will be at the forefront of showcasing the transformative power of our software, bridging the physical and digital worlds to revolutionize how companies operate, innovate, and empower their people.
- • You will be a pivotal member of the Technical Demo Development organization, tasked with the critical mission of designing, developing, and delivering exceptionally compelling Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) demonstrations and assets. These assets are crucial for illustrating the profound value embedded within PTC’s extensive product portfolio.
- • This role is inherently multidisciplinary, demanding a unique blend of deep PLM expertise, exceptional product storytelling capabilities, adept cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on technical proficiency in creating sophisticated virtual demonstration environments.
- • Your primary output will be high-impact demonstration kits, meticulously polished technical videos, and robust virtual demo environments. These deliverables will serve as essential tools for our global sales, marketing, and customer success teams, equipping them with scalable, value-driven assets that resonate with client needs.
- • The demonstrations you architect will support a wide spectrum of use cases, from grand, event-level showcases designed to capture broad attention, to modular kits precisely highlighting specific, critical capabilities. Your work will directly align with the organization’s overarching mission to consistently deliver engaging, value-centric PLM experiences that drive business outcomes.
- • You will lead the comprehensive, end-to-end development of PLM demo kits. This includes crafting everything from straightforward capability spotlights to intricate, fully integrated Intelligent Product Lifecycle (digital thread) scenarios that seamlessly span multiple PTC products, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), PLM, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM).
- • A key aspect of your role will involve actively gathering and reconciling requirements from a diverse array of cross-functional stakeholders. This includes close collaboration with Product Management, Segment Leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Solution Consulting teams to ensure all demo assets are strategically aligned and meet evolving business needs.
- • You will foster strong collaborative relationships with global subject-matter experts (SMEs) to guarantee that all developed assets maintain both technical accuracy and business relevance across the entire portfolio.
- • Your responsibilities extend to building a variety of critical deliverables, including detailed demo scripts, engaging scenario narratives, and persuasive value messaging that clearly articulates the benefits of PTC’s solutions.
- • You will meticulously design and document software “picks and clicks” workflows, providing clear, step-by-step guidance for users.
- • You will create informative training videos, complete with audio walkthroughs, that emphasize key features, tangible benefits, and compelling value propositions.
- • You will also develop essential supporting documentation to facilitate global scalability and effective field enablement, ensuring consistency and quality worldwide.
- • A significant part of your role will involve developing and supporting PLM demonstrations for major industry events. You will partner closely with stakeholders to design and build these critical demonstrations within comprehensive Intelligent Product Lifecycle (digital thread) scenarios.
- • You will actively assist in the preparation and delivery of these high-profile Intelligent Product Lifecycle demonstrations, potentially presenting directly to customers at prestigious industry conferences and exhibitions.
- • To ensure widespread adoption and understanding, you will develop enablement materials and provide essential training to technical personnel on the demonstration content intended for industry event presentations.
- • You will be responsible for composing clear and concise scripts for demonstration videos and other crucial enablement materials.
- • You will play a key role in facilitating the scaling of demonstration content initially created for industry events, ensuring it can be effectively utilized by field resources such as Solution Consultants.
- • Furthermore, you will be instrumental in designing and maintaining robust virtual demo environments. This involves applying real-world product development processes to stage demonstration systems that accurately reflect how modern, forward-thinking engineering organizations operate.
- • You will structure examples, workflows, and artifacts to powerfully highlight enterprise value, process efficiency gains, cross-domain collaboration benefits, and the tangible PLM-driven business outcomes our solutions enable.
- • To support realistic product development scenarios that embody industry best practices, you will create or enhance generic or customer-sourced datasets.
- • Your technical duties will include loading, configuring, and validating demonstration data. This encompasses a wide range of critical information, including CAD models, PLM structures, classifications, supplier data, Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM)/Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) content, service and manufacturing data, and requirements.
- • You will collaborate with global experts to ensure that demo content remains consistently aligned with evolving market trends, dynamic customer needs, and PTC’s strategic narratives.
- • You will partner closely with the Demo Infrastructure Architect to build, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted PLM demonstration environments, which form the foundational infrastructure for all demo experiences.
- • Ensuring the stability, performance, and usability of these environments for both internal demo publishers and field teams will be a key responsibility.
- • You will also contribute to supporting continuous innovation in demo delivery platforms and virtual environment capabilities, staying ahead of technological advancements.
- • Finally, you will develop technical videos, serving as an on-camera and/or narrative expert. In this capacity, you will clearly articulate PLM capabilities within the vital context of business value, industry relevance, and a compelling, coherent story arc.
- • You will script, record, and produce high-quality video content that effectively demonstrates core product functionality, advanced use cases, and seamless end-to-end digital thread workflows, working in conjunction with the Technical Demo Visualization team for final editing and production enhancements.
