  • • Bonterra is seeking a Principal Product Manager, CSR to spearhead the advancement of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) product suite. This pivotal role is designed for a product leader who possesses an unwavering dedication to understanding and solving customer problems, a strong technical acumen, and a keen enthusiasm for how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing product management and software development. You will be entrusted with the ownership of complex, high-impact product areas that serve as the nexus between our corporate clients, our nonprofit partners, and the end-users who benefit from these initiatives.
  • • A core tenet of this role is to adopt an AI-first approach in the conception, development, and evolution of our products. This involves designing intelligent systems that offer excellent default configurations, learn dynamically from user interactions, and can be expertly customized to meet the distinct requirements of each organization without compromising scalability. This is not an opportunity for those who prefer to operate in silos and focus solely on feature delivery. Instead, it is a role for a visionary who is driven to build enduring platforms, make strategic, long-term technology decisions in close collaboration with our engineering teams, and demonstrably enhance outcomes for both our customers and the broader social good sector.
  • • As the Principal Product Manager, CSR, you will assume end-to-end accountability for a defined set of CSR product capabilities. This encompasses the entire product lifecycle, from initial discovery and rigorous validation through to successful delivery, widespread adoption, and the measurable achievement of business objectives. You will be responsible for formulating and executing the product strategy for your portfolio, meticulously balancing the delivery of exceptional customer value, the imperative of platform scalability, and Bonterra’s overarching growth ambitions.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be to drive the AI strategy for your product area. This involves proactively identifying opportunities where intelligence, automation, and adaptive systems can be leveraged to significantly improve outcomes for our customers and streamline operations for our internal teams. You will be instrumental in operationalizing AI in a responsible and ethical manner, working hand-in-hand with Engineering and Design to launch capabilities that feature robust defaults, provide users with clear control, and exhibit trustworthy behavior.
  • • You will make critical, high-leverage product decisions in close partnership with the Engineering department, adeptly navigating difficult trade-offs between development speed, product quality, and long-term scalability. Furthermore, you will represent product leadership at a senior level, actively shaping Bonterra's strategic investments in CSR technology and innovation.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to defining and owning the long-term product vision for key CSR capabilities. This vision must be firmly rooted in a deep understanding of genuine customer challenges and must align seamlessly with Bonterra's core mission and strategic business objectives. You will apply an AI-native mindset to product strategy, utilizing AI to accelerate the processes of discovery, synthesis of information, and decision-making. Crucially, you will design AI-powered experiences that deliver tangible and meaningful value to our customers.
  • • You will identify specific areas where automation, intelligence, and adaptive systems can fundamentally transform the way CSR work is conducted, moving beyond mere incremental improvements to existing workflows. This requires engaging deeply with our customers and end-users to gain an intimate understanding of their goals, operational constraints, and points of friction, translating these insights into clear, actionable product strategies.
  • • Success will be measured not by the quantity of features shipped, but by the tangible outcomes achieved – specifically, customer impact, adoption rates, and overall business results. You will continuously validate that the solutions we develop deliver genuine value in the hands of our customers, and you will be empowered to make swift, decisive course corrections when necessary.
  • • In close collaboration with Engineering, you will drive the design of robust, scalable technology solutions that artfully balance immediate development needs with future flexibility. This includes championing the creation of systems characterized by strong default settings, the capacity for learning over time, and the flexibility for configuration and extensibility, all while avoiding brittleness or overly bespoke solutions.
  • • You will translate complex technical concepts into clear product intentions and articulate the associated trade-offs, fostering strong alignment across all cross-functional teams. This role demands a systems-thinking approach, looking beyond individual user interfaces to understand the interconnectedness of platforms, workflows, and broader ecosystems.

Experience shipping foundational or platform capabilities that have empowered multiple downstream teams, workflows, or products is highly valued.
