• • Alteryx is seeking a Principal Product Manager to spearhead the strategy and execution for its in-market and next-generation products, with a specific focus on innovating and enhancing Data Visualization capabilities. This pivotal role involves owning the end-to-end vision and roadmap for multiple cross-functional teams dedicated to advancing our visualization offerings.

• • You will leverage exemplary domain expertise to quickly grasp new technologies and possess a comprehensive understanding of your product area, as well as its interdependencies with other product areas within the Alteryx portfolio.
• • This role requires a strategic thinker who can align product area strategy with the broader portfolio, platform, and company objectives, working closely with PM leadership and the corporate executive team.
• • A key responsibility is to analyze the marketplace, understand customer needs (including prospects and non-customers), and monitor competitor activities to inform feature prioritization and the overall product direction.
• • You will be instrumental in developing and advocating for the mission of product area feature teams, identifying opportunities to improve best practices, and driving their implementation.
• • The Principal Product Manager will proactively drive issues forward with minimal guidance, considering the long-term vision and developing solutions that anticipate and address current and future market needs.
• • In terms of execution, you will manage complex roadmaps across multiple cross-functional teams, ensuring the timely delivery of features and initiatives while maintaining reasonable timelines.
• • You will be accountable for decisions and deliverables that can significantly impact major features and technical teams, potentially working with in-house teams, partners, or outsourced development resources.
• • This role involves influencing and managing features and initiatives across various development teams, ensuring buy-in, adherence to timelines, and overall success.
• • You will be responsible for creating and managing feature and function requirements, collaborating closely with development, design, product, and marketing teams to produce comprehensive Business Requirements Documents and detailed feature specifications.
• • Throughout the development lifecycle, you will monitor and manage the successful delivery of roadmap features, proactively identifying risks, removing impediments, and communicating progress and opportunities for improvement to senior management.
• • Delivering value to customers is paramount; you will engage directly with customers for feedback, discovery sessions, and troubleshooting, as well as educate customers and internal support teams on product features through various channels like webinars and live events.
• • You will model best practices in your work, including efforts to reduce technical debt and ensure the long-term health of the product.
• • A significant aspect of the role involves actively contributing to sales positioning and go-to-market plans, ensuring successful product launches and adoption.
• • You will collaborate with other Product Managers to share successes, drive overall effectiveness of PM department processes, and present the Alteryx product roadmap to customers and prospects.
