📋 Description

• **Lead the charge in defining the future of cloud-native cyber resilience** as a Principal Product Manager, Security at Commvault. This is a pivotal role where you will shape the strategic direction and execution of our cutting-edge SaaS platform, Clumio by Commvault, designed to tackle the most complex data protection challenges in high-scale cloud environments.
• **Drive product discovery and innovation:** Immerse yourself in understanding the intricate problems our enterprise customers face regarding data risk, security, and rapid recovery. You will delve deep into the operational realities of massive-scale cloud infrastructures, identifying critical gaps and opportunities to enhance how we protect, classify, and manage sensitive data across key cloud services like Amazon S3, DynamoDB, and Apache Iceberg.
• **Own the product vision and roadmap:** Take full ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle for our Cyber Resilience and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) features. This includes conceptualizing new, AI-driven capabilities, defining the strategic roadmap, and guiding the product from its initial ideation through to the successful launch of advanced data classification and automated recovery workflows.
• **Execute with technical excellence:** Collaborate closely on a day-to-day basis with our world-class Engineering and AI Research teams. You will be responsible for prioritizing backlogs, providing clear technical scope definitions for complex cloud-native integrations, and ensuring the highest quality execution in a demanding, high-scale environment. Your technical acumen will be crucial in translating complex requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
• **Champion stakeholder communication:** Act as the primary point of contact and a key influencer for the product's technical direction and strategy. You will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing feedback loops with our customer base, presenting compelling roadmaps to internal leadership, and providing essential technical clarity to external partners and stakeholders.
• **Bridge the Go-To-Market (GTM) gap:** Partner effectively with our Sales and Marketing teams to ensure successful product adoption and customer success. You will translate sophisticated concepts of 'resilience' and 'posture management' into clear, tangible business value propositions that resonate with enterprise buyers, enabling them to understand and articulate the benefits of our solutions.
• **Measure and drive impact:** Define, track, and analyze key product success metrics. This includes monitoring adoption rates, evaluating the effectiveness of our recovery time objectives (RTO), and assessing the performance and accuracy of our AI-driven data classification capabilities. Your insights will directly inform future product development and strategic decisions.
• **Expand into the multi-cloud era:** Contribute to our strategic expansion beyond our established success in AWS data protection. You will play a crucial role in developing solutions that address the broader challenges of the multi-cloud landscape, enabling enterprises to achieve a unified view of visibility, compliance, and resilience across diverse cloud environments.
• **Integrate AI-driven intelligence:** Be at the forefront of integrating advanced AI and Machine Learning into our product suite. Your work will help us transition from a reactive approach to data recovery towards a proactive stance on data resilience and governance, leveraging intelligent insights to anticipate and mitigate risks.
• **Understand and articulate complex technical concepts:** You will need to grasp and articulate the nuances of cloud storage architectures, identity and access management (IAM), resource management, and the intricacies of data protection and security within these environments.
• **Contribute to a culture of innovation:** Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement within the product team and across engineering. Share your expertise and insights to help elevate the team's capabilities and drive collective success.
• **Ensure product quality and reliability:** Uphold the highest standards for product quality, performance, and reliability, especially given the critical nature of data protection and cyber resilience for our enterprise clients.
• **Stay ahead of the curve:** Continuously research and understand emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI/ML, and data management to ensure our product remains at the cutting edge.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of Product Management experience with a focus on Enterprise B2B SaaS and platform products.
• At least 5 years in the Cybersecurity or Data Protection space, with specific experience in Cyber Resilience, Backup/Recovery, or Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
• Proven, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including understanding of cloud storage architectures, IAM, and resource management.
• Experience delivering production-grade AI/ML capabilities, specifically for data classification, anomaly detection, or automated remediation.
• Demonstrated ability to present technical roadmaps and product strategy clearly to both internal teams and external customers.
