📋 Description

• Lead high-impact research in multimodal foundation models, world models, embodied AI, vision-language-action systems, and agentic AI to advance Centific’s Physical AI portfolio and drive innovation at the intersection of perception, reasoning, and real-world action.
• Develop novel approaches for perception, temporal reasoning, spatial intelligence, affordance understanding, autonomous decision-making, and sim2real transfer, with direct application to dexterous manipulation, contact-rich interaction, bimanual coordination, long-horizon task execution, and navigation in dynamic environments under uncertainty.
• Contribute to large-scale model building including multimodal pretraining, distributed training, fine-tuning, distillation, and evaluation of models for vision, robotics, and autonomous systems using PyTorch, JAX, and Hugging Face ecosystems.
• Guide integration of research with simulation and digital twin platforms such as Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, Omniverse, and related environments to enable robust sim2real transfer and validation.
• Establish rigorous benchmarks and reproducible evaluation frameworks for robustness, safety, generalization, manipulation success, policy performance, and real-world deployment readiness across industrial, healthcare, warehouse, and autonomous systems use cases.
• Mentor Ph.D. interns and engineers, foster a research culture grounded in rigor, speed, originality, and scientific excellence, and help build long-term technical IP in multimodal AI and embodied intelligence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate frontier research into deployable systems, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and enterprise client needs in autonomous driving, mobile autonomy, and smart environments.
• Represent Centific externally through publications in top-tier venues (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, RSS, CoRL), conference talks, and technical blogs to enhance scientific visibility and thought leadership.
• Stay at the forefront of agentic AI, tool-using agents, planning frameworks, memory-based architectures, and knowledge graphs to advance long-horizon reasoning and decision-making capabilities.
• Leverage experience with large-scale training infrastructure (Ray, Kubernetes, Triton, TensorRT, Docker, W&B) to optimize model development, scaling, and deployment pipelines.

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Autonomous Systems, or a closely related field.
• Strong publication record in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CoRL, RSS, or leading autonomous driving and robotics conferences.
• 5+ years of research experience in academia, industry, or advanced R&D environments with demonstrated success in building or advancing large-scale foundational models, novel architectures, or training methods.
• Deep expertise in PyTorch and/or JAX, including GPU training, distributed experimentation, and large-scale model development for multimodal AI, vision, and robotics applications.
• Proven ability to lead ambitious technical programs, mentor junior researchers, and drive research agendas from concept to publication and deployment.
