- • As a Principal Software Engineer at Raft, you will play a critical role in building data-focused products that empower U.S. military and government agencies with cutting-edge AI/ML and data solutions, directly impacting national security and public sector modernization.
- • Day to day, you will design and develop end-to-end features using both backend (Go, Java, Python, Rust, Scala) and frontend (React with TypeScript/JavaScript) technologies, work with Kafka, Trino, DuckDB, and Superset, containerize applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and collaborate in cloud-native environments to enable users to tell data stories through intuitive interfaces.
- • Raft is a customer-obsessed, non-traditional defense tech company headquartered in McLean, VA, specializing in autonomous data fusion and Agentic AI for federal and public agencies, with a mission to bridge the gap between humans and data through radical transparency and innovation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scalable distributed systems, gain hands-on experience with modern data platforms and AI-assisted development, lead complex project lifecycles, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation grounded in the Ubuntu philosophy.
