- • Lead and manage a small team of development engineers as a player/coach technical leader for the Payments and Finance Development team at Skimmer Inc., a private equity-backed company modernizing the pool and spa service industry with over 6,000 customers.
- • Be the internal technical expert while contributing hands-on code to Skimmer’s payments and finance systems, including Stripe credit card processing, financial integrations, and accounting platform connections like QuickBooks Online.
- • Drive secure, reliable, and compliant financial operations by overseeing PCI DSS compliance, payment success rates, transaction security, and finance system data integrity across the platform.
- • Utilize AI tools and best practices to enhance team productivity, mentor engineers, and ensure technical excellence in API development and financial system integrations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in a technical leadership or lead player/coach role leading a development team’s prioritized workload at a SaaS startup.
- • Proven expertise building API integrations for SaaS products, specifically in credit card processing and finance domains.
- • Deep, hands-on expertise with Stripe credit card processing and payment gateways.
- • Experience integrating with accounting platforms like QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar.
- • Proficiency leveraging and implementing AI tools (preferably Claude) for development productivity.
- • Expertise developing in C# and proficient with Microsoft SQL.
- • Strong business acumen and understanding of tax, accounting, and payment compliance (e.g., PCI DSS).
- • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and a track record of leading successful cross-functional projects.
