- • As a Principal Software Engineer in Red Hat's Core Platforms Engineering group, you will play a critical role in advancing Linux and container technologies, specifically within the Virtualization and Confidential Computing domains, contributing to solutions used by thousands globally.
- • You will lead end-to-end ownership of specific technical areas in an Agile Scrum environment, including design, development, validation, packaging, L3 troubleshooting, support, and handling vulnerabilities and backports for released versions.
- • You will work on the virtualization and confidential computing ecosystem in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including KVM, QEMU, Libvirt, Virt-Tools, Kata containers, attestation technologies, and related testing frameworks, collaborating with upstream and downstream projects.
- • You will act as a technical leader and advocate for customers, driving innovation in open source technologies while collaborating with some of the brightest engineers in the industry to solve complex technical challenges.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience applying core languages such as Python, C, Rust, or Go to large, enterprise projects.
- • Proven ability to design and architect large, complex features at the operating system level, including debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining them for enterprise customers.
- • Ability to use containers and CI/CD technologies to author, build, and automate build and test pipelines.
- • For Virtualization team roles: experience with Linux virtualization stack, KVM, QEMU, Libvirt, and cloud or Kubernetes technologies.
- • For Confidential Computing team roles: experience with CNCF confidential containers and related technologies.
- • Required full English proficiency (verbal and written) and ability to work with globally distributed teams or communities.
