📋 Description

• The Principal Solution Engineer serves as an advanced individual contributor and subject-matter expert from both sales and technical perspectives, driving the technical close of sales within the Solution Engineering group of CSG Forte Payments. This role is critical to aligning CSG’s payment solutions with customer needs across merchant, ISV partner, and enterprise markets, ensuring solutions are viable, compliant, and compelling.
• Day to day, the role involves collaborating with sales and Customer Solution Consultants to identify customer requirements, designing and presenting technical architectures (including API integration, system flows, and sandbox proofs of concept), validating solution fit, mentoring junior team members, translating technical concepts into business value, and advising on risk mitigation and deal strategy. The engineer also tracks industry trends, supports RFP/RFI processes, and ensures customer understanding of complex products through tailored communication.
