  • • Sell Spear Bio’s proprietary Successive Proximity Extension Amplification Reaction (SPEAR) immunoassay platform to Life Sciences, CRO, and academic customers in the Northeast U.S. territory.
  • • Deliver technical sales presentations that articulate the value proposition of ultra-sensitive, wash-free immunoassays for measuring low-abundance biomarkers in neurodegenerative disease research.
  • • Leverage an established network of key customers in Big Pharma, Biotech, CROs, and Academic institutions across New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
  • • Drive revenue growth by promoting both kit sales and Assay Service solutions to increase market adoption and customer retention.
  • • Manage a sales funnel and provide regular updates on activity, forecasting, and pipeline movement to support transparent revenue planning.
  • • Collaborate with internal Marketing teams to design and execute lead generation programs that expand market reach beyond the Northeast.
  • • Serve as a Voice of Customer (VOC) by relaying market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback directly to R&D teams to inform product development.
  • • Work closely with the Assay Services leader to build and nurture the service-based sales funnel.
  • • Provide technical support and guidance to Key Opinion Leaders across the U.S. and EMEA regions.
  • • Develop and execute a personalized sales plan aligned with company goals, including measurable personal and professional objectives.
  • • Analyze the competitive landscape and apply strategic insights to position Spear Bio’s scientifically superior technology as the preferred solution.
  • • Coordinate and execute customer demos, technical information sharing, and logistics to ensure seamless customer engagement.
  • • Travel 30-40% of the time to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support field activities in the Northeast region.
  • • Maintain a consistent record of exceeding sales quotas and expanding market share within the assigned territory.
  • • Communicate complex scientific and commercial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, translating technical advantages into compelling business outcomes.
  • • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Field Application, Assay Services, and Marketing to align commercial strategy with technical capabilities.
  • • Act with a bias for action, demonstrating high energy, strong work ethic, and proactive communication in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • • Receive and apply feedback to continuously improve performance, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness.

🎯 Requirements

  • • MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field with 4–10+ years of proven sales or business development experience selling ultrasensitive immunoassays or neurology IVD products
  • • Established network of high-level scientific customers in Big Pharma, Biotech, CROs, and Academic institutions within the Northeast U.S.
  • • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas and drive revenue growth in competitive life sciences markets
  • • Strong technical communication skills to present complex immunoassay technology to scientific and commercial decision-makers
  • • Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% of the time for customer engagements and industry events
  • • Experience translating customer feedback and market observations into actionable product and sales strategies
