  • • Sell Spear Bio’s proprietary SPEAR immunoassay platform to Life Sciences, CROs, and Academic customers across the Southeast U.S. (DC, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida).
  • • Deliver technical sales presentations that articulate the value proposition of ultra-sensitive, wash-free immunoassays for measuring low-abundance biomarkers in neurodegenerative disease research.
  • • Leverage existing network of high-level scientific customers in Big Pharma, Biotech, CROs, and Academic institutions to drive market adoption and revenue growth.
  • • Promote both kit sales and Assay Service solutions to generate recurring revenue and expand customer engagement.
  • • Manage a sales funnel and provide regular updates on activity, forecasting, and pipeline movement to support revenue transparency and strategic planning.
  • • Collaborate with internal Marketing to design and execute lead generation programs that enhance regional outreach.
  • • Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to R&D teams based on direct interactions with key clients and market observations.
  • • Work closely with the Assay Services leader to build and nurture the service-based sales funnel.
  • • Develop and execute a personalized sales plan aligned with company goals, including measurable personal and professional targets.
  • • Stay informed on the competitive landscape and apply insights to craft winning strategies in a market where Spear Bio holds a strong scientific advantage.
  • • Provide technical support to Key Opinion Leaders across the U.S. and EMEA regions.
  • • Handle all customer logistics including demo coordination, information sharing, and follow-up on technical inquiries.
  • • Travel 30–40% of the time to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support on-site engagements.
  • • Demonstrate deep understanding of neurology IVD markets, including LDTs, and how Spear Bio’s technology outperforms existing solutions.
  • • Translate customer feedback and market dynamics into actionable product and commercial strategies.
  • • Maintain a consistent record of exceeding sales quotas, revenue targets, and market share goals within the Southeast territory.
  • • Collaborate effectively with Field Application, Assay Services, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • • Communicate clearly and proactively with advanced commercial acumen, demonstrating high energy, strong work ethic, and bias for action.
  • • Ask strategic questions to uncover customer needs and position Spear Bio’s technology as the superior, best-in-class solution.
  • • Comfortably give and receive feedback to continuously improve engagement, performance, and outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field with 4–10+ years of proven sales or business development experience selling ultrasensitive immunoassays or neurology IVD products
  • • Established network of high-level scientific customers in Big Pharma, Biotech, CROs, and Academic institutions within the Southeast U.S.
  • • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas and revenue targets in life sciences or diagnostics markets
  • • Strong technical communication skills to present complex immunoassay technology to scientific and commercial stakeholders
  • • Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% of the time for customer engagements and industry events
  • • Experience translating customer feedback into product and market strategy
