- • As a Principal Solutions Architect at Centene Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data infrastructure that supports the health outcomes of 28 million members nationwide, directly contributing to improved access, quality, and equity in healthcare through innovative technology solutions.
- • You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale relational databases and data warehouses, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across business, application, and operations teams while enforcing enterprise information standards and guiding data architecture strategy.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and validating data models, managing metadata repositories and data dictionaries, evaluating new data sources for quality and integration readiness, and leading discussions on data architecture, data sourcing, and data flow for enterprise initiatives.
- • You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical data solutions, perform data architecture reviews, and document mappings between data models and information systems to support seamless integration and reporting.
- • You will proactively identify and resolve data quality issues related to completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, and consistency, leveraging data quality frameworks and tools to ensure trustworthy data for decision-making.
- • You will stay current with emerging technologies in data ingestion, streaming, and cloud platforms—including AWS, Snowflake, Kafka, Informatica, Talend, and Matillion—and apply them to modernize Centene’s data ecosystem.
- • You will mentor and influence cross-functional teams by providing subject matter expertise in information architecture, advocating for best practices in data governance, and driving multiple complex projects to successful completion with a high degree of accuracy and judgment.
- • You will contribute to enterprise information architecture blueprints that align data strategy with organizational goals, helping Centene scale its capabilities to serve diverse populations more effectively.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 6–8 years of related experience in data architecture, database design, or enterprise information management.
- • Proven experience with ETL processes, relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DBMS), and data warehousing technologies, including hands-on work with Python, Unix/Linux environments, and metadata management tools.
- • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS technologies (including Glue, S3, Redshift), and data catalog/lineage tools like Alation or Manta, along with knowledge of streaming data ingest tools (Kafka, Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
- • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence principles and healthcare data concepts, with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives in a regulated industry.
- • Demonstrated advanced soft skills including analytical thinking, project management, independent work ethic, accuracy under pressure, and the ability to communicate complex technical recommendations to upper management and cross-functional teams.
