📋 Description
- • As a Principal Solutions Engineer – Artificial Intelligence at Cloudera, you will serve as a customer-facing technical authority for the Enterprise AI portfolio, bridging complex data architectures with actionable AI business outcomes and driving technical sales strategy for the industry’s only platform bringing AI to data anywhere.
- • Day to day, you will innovate in the AI lifecycle by developing advanced techniques and solutions for customer adoption, assist domain experts in building AI solutions, work with clients to define objectives and curate data and algorithms, consult with research scientists on theoretical and practical applications, own the technical sales lifecycle from discovery to renewal, architect AI solutions using Cloudera AI, AI Inference, AI Studios, and AI Workbench, evangelize Cloudera’s AI vision to C-level executives, demonstrate value through compelling technical presentations, act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams, and lead community efforts through conferences, blogs, and webinars.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in pre-sales or solutions engineering
- • Deep experience with Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning, including understanding the distinction between Data Engineering and Data Science and navigating technical nuances of AI Assistants and Data Services
- • Proficiency with one or more major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understanding of hybrid deployment factors
- • Enterprise-grade knowledge of Operations, Security, and Data Governance required to make AI safe for the enterprise
- • Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing (e.g., Iceberg), or Relational Databases, plus familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to whiteboard complex architectures and gather business requirements effectively
