- • As a Principal Sales Engineer at Cubic Corporation’s DTECH Mission Solutions division, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to U.S. Air Force and joint Department of Defense customers, combining deep expertise in tactical communications with advanced edge networking and compute technologies to support mission-critical C4ISR solutions.
- • You will build and maintain relationships with USAF A6 program offices and joint stakeholders, architect customized solutions integrating tactical radios, edge computing, and secure networking, and provide technical consultation on deployment, integration, and optimization of C4ISR systems.
- • You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, deliver technical presentations, support design reviews and demonstrations, and contribute to training materials while staying current on emerging technologies like MEC, Zero Trust, AI-enabled networking, and software-defined communications.
- • You will conceptualize, design, document, and support test plans for solutions, develop system architectures linking technical capabilities to mission requirements, and provide technical direction to engineering and production teams, with regular travel (3–5 days per month, occasionally up to 10–15 days) to customer sites and exercises.
- • This role is pivotal to the 2026–2027 growth strategy for DTECH Mission Solutions, offering the opportunity to shape the future of secure, resilient communications systems for U.S. and allied forces while working in a dynamic, agile environment that values innovation and service to national security missions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of progressive experience in a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or technical sales role focused on tactical communications, C4ISR, or secured networking.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (Master’s preferred).
- • Demonstrated experience with U.S. Air Force and joint tactical communication systems including handheld/manpack radios (AN/PRC-163, AN/PRC-152/152A, AN/PRC-117 series, AN/PRC-148), airborne radios (AN/ARC-210, SINCGARS, AN/ARC-186), and specialized systems (NGSR, Link 16/MIDS JTRS, HF systems like AN/ARC-190).
- • Deep knowledge of modern edge technologies: Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC), Zero Trust architectures, distributed/cloud networking, VMware, Linux, Microsoft environments, and low-level computing concepts.
- • Proven expertise in baseband/IP networking (routers, switches, firewalls), transport security (IPSec, Suite B, Type-1 cryptographic equipment, CSfC), and deployed communications including SATCOM, 4G/5G, MANET/MESH, and satellite carriers (Starlink, L3Harris, Inmarsat, etc.).
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
