📋 Description

• The Prior Authorization Assistant role at Ascertain is critical to automating administrative burdens in healthcare by processing prior authorizations and supporting AI-driven workflow improvements, directly impacting operational efficiency and patient care.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing insurance and patient eligibility, gathering medical documentation from providers, submitting authorization requests to insurers, tracking request status, responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate records, collaborating internally to resolve issues, and staying current on insurance policies and regulations.
• Ascertain is a healthcare AI company backed by Northwell Health and Deerfield Management, building AI agents to reduce administrative work for care teams in major health systems and specialty groups, with a mission to restore time, trust, and focus to healthcare workers.
• This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge generative AI and automation tools, develop leadership and process improvement skills, collaborate with C-suite and product teams, and grow into a hybrid operations-technology position as workflows become more automated.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with prior authorization and billing in Oncology
• Experience with athenahealth and/or NextGen
• Familiarity with major payors including UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.
