📋 Description

• This part-time residency at Mentis AI offers private equity and growth equity professionals a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of institutional finance and frontier AI systems, helping shape how advanced models reason about high-stakes financial decisions.
• Day to day, you will assess AI-generated financial analyses for flawed reasoning, translate expert investment judgment into structured test cases, build realistic financial benchmarks grounded in private markets practice, and compare human and AI reasoning to identify divergence points.
• The team combines deep private markets experience from firms like Lazard and Partners Group with machine learning and applied AI research, operating across London and San Francisco while collaborating with leading AI labs to improve model performance in financial contexts.
• You will gain hands-on exposure to how AI is transforming investment workflows, develop a distinctive profile at the finance-AI intersection, and contribute to early-stage efforts in aligning AI reasoning with professional investor judgment.

🎯 Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience in private equity or growth equity at a renowned large-cap or upper-middle market fund in Europe or the US
• Associate, VP, or Principal level position; industry agnostic background
• Strong modeling and valuation skills with full deal lifecycle experience
• Genuine intellectual curiosity about the application of AI in finance
