📋 Description
- • Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing performance reviews for all company-wide purchases.
- • Maintain a centralized vendor register and track contract renewal dates, service level agreements (SLAs), and financial obligations across all departments.
- • Partner with Legal to review and negotiate commercial contracts such as NDAs, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- • Analyze company-wide spend data to identify consolidation opportunities, pricing anomalies, and cost-saving potential across software, infrastructure, services, and facilities.
- • Lead contract negotiations for significant procurements, particularly in software licensing, cloud infrastructure, and professional services.
- • Collaborate with the Engineering team to monitor computing spend and evaluate optimization strategies to improve gross margin.
- • Design and implement scalable procurement processes, including purchase requisition workflows and approval matrices tailored to Nabla’s growth stage.
- • Evaluate, select, and implement procurement tooling to automate purchasing workflows and reduce manual overhead.
- • Support the Finance team with accruals, budget vs. actuals analysis, and vendor invoice reconciliation.
- • Document and maintain an up-to-date procurement handbook with clear policies, guidelines, and compliance standards.
- • Act as the primary procurement partner to Engineering, Product, Marketing, HR, and Operations teams, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- • Report directly to the CFO and operate with high ownership, shaping the procurement function from the ground up as the first dedicated hire.
- • Ensure all procurement activities directly support Nabla’s scale of processing 10 billion tokens/month with LLMs and generating hundreds of thousands of clinical notes weekly.
- • Establish foundational policies and systems that will govern procurement across the entire organization as it scales globally.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, ideally at a SaaS or technology company
- • Proven track record of negotiating software and services contracts with demonstrated cost savings outcomes
- • Experience standing up or significantly improving a procurement function in a scaling environment
- • Strong analytical skills — comfortable working in spreadsheets and interpreting spend data
- • Finance and accounting knowledge and experience
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; able to influence without authority across teams
