📋 Description

• As the first dedicated Procurement Manager at Upvest, you will centralize and professionalize vendor management across the company, owning the full lifecycle of partnerships from sourcing to contract expiration.
• You will act as the sole lead for all procurement activities, managing Indirect Spend (SaaS, IT, Services) and supporting Direct Spend (Trading, Custody, Market Data), while serving as the Procurement Tool Product Owner and building risk-tiered policies and processes.
• Upvest is a Berlin-based fintech empowering businesses to offer investment products via its Investment API, backed by €280M from investors like BlackRock and Tencent, with over 270 professionals from 70+ nationalities.
• You will drive centralized transparency, regulatory compliance with MaRisk/DORA/NIS2/KRITIS, cost-saving opportunities, and internal adoption of procurement tools, becoming the trusted 'Procurement Champion' at Upvest.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally within a high-growth Fintech or regulated financial institution
• Technical literacy in IT infrastructure and cloud providers (e.g., GCP), with ability to speak the language of Finance and Engineering
• Process mindset: detail-driven, skilled at creating order from chaos, writing and enforcing policies while remaining solution-oriented
• Fluent in English and German, based in Berlin (mandatory)
• Experience with procurement automation tools and stakeholder influence to drive adoption through clarity and partnership
