📋 Description

• As a Producer on OpenAI’s Global Events team, you will help bring some of the company’s most visible moments to life — from developer events and global launches to product-driven experiences and enterprise events — by turning ambitious ideas into beautifully executed, immersive experiences that align with OpenAI’s mission and values.
• You will own the full production lifecycle, including managing stage productions, overseeing content and AV coordination, collaborating on event execution strategies, supporting creative production, sourcing and negotiating vendors, overseeing risk management and contingency planning, tracking budgets and financials, and coordinating project management across timelines and deliverables.
• You will partner closely with teams across product, marketing, research, and leadership to translate big ideas into real-world productions that feel seamless, thoughtful, and distinctly OpenAI, while thriving in the controlled chaos of live production.
• The Events Production team is a dynamic, ethos-driven group dedicated to crafting extraordinary experiences that shine a spotlight on others and bring people together in meaningful ways, operating with a deep commitment to craft, precision, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, hybrid environment based in San Francisco with ~30% domestic and international travel expected.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in live event production, stage management, vendor management, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration, while gaining exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies and how they shape the future of human connection, learning, and gathering.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in production, stage management, event production, agency event management, or similar roles
• Proven track record of managing budgets over $500k
• Strong working knowledge of full-stack event audiovisual elements (audio, video, lighting) and signal flows in event/broadcast environments
• Demonstrated experience in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and partnership management
• Deep interest in artificial intelligence and its potential to benefit humanity
