đź“‹ Description
- • As a Product Compliance Manager at Apaleo, you will be instrumental in ensuring our cutting-edge, API-first property management platform adheres to the complex fiscal, legal, and hospitality-specific requirements across all our operational markets. This pivotal role involves proactively monitoring the ever-evolving regulatory landscape, meticulously assessing the impact of these changes on our product, and fostering close collaboration with our Product and Engineering teams. Your primary responsibility will be to translate intricate legal and fiscal obligations into clear, actionable guidance, thereby safeguarding our customers, enabling seamless hotel operations, and supporting the sustainable global growth and scalability of the Apaleo platform.
- • In the realm of Regulatory Intelligence & Country Strategy, you will be the eyes and ears for compliance. This includes diligently monitoring regulatory developments in our operating markets, with a keen focus on fiscal regulations, tax laws, invoicing mandates (including e-invoicing), guest registration requirements, VAT implications, and data privacy laws. You will play a crucial role in contributing to and maintaining the product compliance roadmap, providing early risk assessments, and ensuring visibility into critical deadlines. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping our market prioritization strategy, considering factors such as regulatory complexity, associated risks, and overall business impact. A key output of this function will be the definition of clear, concise country-level compliance requirements and constraints that guide product development.
- • Regarding Product Design & Implementation, your expertise will directly influence the architecture of our platform. You will meticulously review and shape compliance-critical product workflows, ensuring they meet all necessary legal and fiscal standards. A core task involves translating complex regulatory requirements into structured product specifications, encompassing data models, audit trails, reporting mechanisms, API functionalities, and event flows. You will partner closely with the Engineering teams to guarantee that all implementations are audit-ready from the outset. Furthermore, you will actively participate in design reviews for fiscal integrations, working with partners like Fonoa, Invopop, and Efsta. Your role extends to providing essential compliance validation and making informed release recommendations for any changes that have compliance implications.
- • In the area of Country Readiness & Go-Live, you will be the gatekeeper for market launches. This involves rigorously validating fiscal and regulatory flows before any new market is launched. You will be responsible for assessing and clearly communicating the country readiness status, categorizing it as 'Supported,' 'Supported with constraints,' or 'Not ready.' Defining compliance acceptance criteria and developing comprehensive test scenarios will be critical to ensure successful deployments. Your efforts will also ensure that all necessary documentation is in place to support audits and certifications, providing confidence to our customers and regulatory bodies.
- • Your engagement with External Partners & Commercial Support will be vital for seamless operations. You will approve configurations and verify compliance certifications with our fiscal partners, ensuring alignment and accuracy. Maintaining a strong alignment with third-party integrations and relevant regulatory bodies is paramount. You will also provide crucial support to our Sales and Customer Success teams, assisting them in navigating complex regulatory discussions with potential and existing clients. By proactively identifying compliance constraints, you will significantly reduce deal risk and build trust with our commercial stakeholders.
- • Finally, in Documentation & Continuous Monitoring, you will establish and maintain robust knowledge management systems. This includes maintaining a structured repository of country-specific rules and regulatory logic. You will develop essential compliance playbooks, checklists, and guidelines to empower internal teams. A key responsibility is to track regulatory changes diligently and drive product updates end-to-end, ensuring our platform remains compliant. You will also monitor compliance-related incidents, analyze root causes, and continuously improve our compliance processes to prevent future issues and enhance overall platform integrity. Your work will directly contribute to Apaleo's reputation as a trusted and compliant leader in hospitality technology.
