• • Join Aios Medical as a Senior Product Designer, a pivotal role where you'll drive the evolution of our AI-powered clinical operating system, ClinicOS, and our consumer-facing healthcare brands.
• • This is a high-ownership position, demanding strong design leadership, judgment, and the ability to establish structure within a rapidly growing product.
• • You will be instrumental in shaping how design is perceived and implemented across the entire company as we scale.
• • Your responsibilities will span both customer-facing applications and essential internal tools, ensuring a cohesive and effective user experience across all touchpoints.
• • While some of your work will result in polished, visible customer interfaces, you'll also tackle complex, internal workflows that are critical to operational efficiency.
• • Every project you undertake will be owned end-to-end, from the initial, often loosely defined problem, through to the successful shipment of a well-crafted solution.
• • You will be empowered to take initiative, identify needs, and execute on projects independently, demonstrating a high degree of trust and autonomy.
• • A typical week could involve collaborating with engineers on intricate customer app flows, dissecting and improving complex internal operational processes that hinder team productivity, analyzing customer support tickets to pinpoint user pain points, or engaging in robust discussions to defend design decisions with stakeholders who hold strong viewpoints.
• • Your work will consistently sit at the crucial intersection of user needs, strategic business objectives, and practical, real-world constraints.
• • You will report directly to the Head of Product, Ben Dowdle, and collaborate closely with a cross-functional team including engineers, operations specialists, customer experience representatives, and fellow product designers.
• • This is a full-time, fully remote position, offering flexibility in working hours. We are an async-friendly company, but some overlap with UK or US time zones will be beneficial for seamless collaboration.
• • **Customer Apps:** You will be a key contributor to designing and enhancing our customer-facing web and mobile applications, with a significant focus on mobile app experiences.
• • **Internal Tools & Workflows:** You will design and optimize internal products utilized by our clinical, operations, enrollment, and customer experience teams, prioritizing workflow efficiency and user-friendliness.
• • **Complex Problem Solving:** You will tackle challenging product design problems within a regulated environment, understanding and navigating commercial and regulatory constraints, and recognizing that effective design often means enhancing clarity and usability within existing frameworks.
• • **Business & User Understanding:** Your design process will be grounded in a deep understanding of both the underlying business problem and the specific needs of the user. You will be adept at articulating the 'why' behind your design choices.
• • **End-to-End Project Ownership:** You will independently lead projects from initial discovery and user research (both external and internal) to defining the solution and overseeing its successful implementation and launch.
• • **Clear Communication:** You will articulate your design rationale clearly, defend your decisions effectively, and confidently navigate discussions, even when faced with strong opinions.
• • **Hands-on Leadership:** As a senior member of the team, you will actively contribute to shaping our design practices and culture, while also providing support and mentorship to other designers as the team expands, all while remaining deeply involved in hands-on design work.
• • **Portfolio grounded in reality:** Your portfolio should showcase real product work, clearly illustrating the problems you addressed, the constraints you operated within, and the tangible impact of your design decisions, rather than solely focusing on polished visual mockups.
