Product Director, Embedded Finance

📋 Description

• • Lead the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Airwallex’s Embedded Finance portfolio, including embedded payments, financial accounts, cards, treasury services, and global money movement.
• • Define and scale platform-level financial infrastructure products that enable customers and partners to integrate Airwallex’s capabilities into their own offerings.
• • Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, customer obsession, excellence, and continuous learning.
• • Collaborate directly with Engineering, Design, Commercial, Partnerships, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Executive Leadership to align product development with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• • Drive product execution with a high bar for quality, user experience, and operational reliability across global markets.
• • Leverage customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and data analytics to prioritize investments and inform strategic decisions.
• • Establish clear success metrics and accountability frameworks to measure customer impact, business outcomes, and product performance.
• • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership on platform evolution, ecosystem growth, and the future of embedded financial infrastructure.
• • Champion technical go-to-market launches for APIs and platform integrations, ensuring seamless adoption by developers and business customers.
• • Identify new opportunities to expand the use of Airwallex’s infrastructure by software platforms, marketplaces, and ecosystem partners.
• • Balance long-term platform investments with immediate customer and business needs to drive sustainable growth.
• • Communicate complex financial and technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
• • Operate effectively across multiple time zones to support global teams and international customer deployments.
• • Maintain deep empathy for customer pain points and translate them into intuitive, accessible financial experiences.
• • Stay ahead of evolving trends in embedded finance, banking-as-a-service, payments, and global treasury systems to inform product direction.
• • Ensure all products meet regulatory, operational, and technical standards across jurisdictions where Airwallex operates.
• • Promote a data-driven culture by using metrics to validate assumptions, track progress, and optimize product performance.
• • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners and internal stakeholders to enable seamless product integration and scaling.
