- • You will own the entire lifecycle of feature development, from the initial stages of problem discovery and conceptualization through to architecture, meticulous development, seamless deployment, and continuous iteration informed by live user data. This comprehensive ownership ensures that features are not only built but also evolve to meet user needs and market demands effectively.
- • A core aspect of this role involves the integration and strategic use of AI tools, such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude, into your daily development workflow. The objective is to significantly accelerate your development velocity, enhance the quality of your output, and unlock new possibilities in how we build and deliver software. You will be an early adopter and champion of AI-augmented development practices within the team.
- • You will be empowered to make autonomous decisions, navigating ambiguity with sound product judgment. This means proactively identifying and filling requirement gaps, rather than waiting for exhaustive specifications. Your ability to exercise initiative and make informed choices will be crucial in maintaining momentum and ensuring timely delivery of valuable features.
- • The emphasis is on rapid iteration and delivering Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) quickly to gather real-world feedback. This approach helps to avoid over-engineering, prioritizing validated learning and momentum over premature perfection. You will be comfortable with a build-measure-learn cycle, constantly seeking to optimize and improve based on user interaction and performance data.
- • Direct and continuous collaboration with stakeholders and end-users is paramount. You will work closely with them to gain a deep understanding of their pain points, challenges, and aspirations. This insight will then be translated into functional, scalable, and user-centric software solutions that address their needs effectively.
- • You will work proactively across different departments and teams within Parity to remove any potential blockers that might impede progress. Maintaining a high shipping cadence and ensuring smooth cross-functional execution are key responsibilities, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the product roadmap.
- • This role is part of the Acceleration department, which is dedicated to fostering ecosystem growth through the development of essential tools, integrations, and strategic partnerships across the Polkadot network. You will be reporting into our Product Research Lead, contributing to the Product Engineering team's mission to shape product vision and roadmap.
- • Your work will directly contribute to making Polkadot the most active and innovative community in blockchain, powering a new era of connected and decentralized applications. You will be building the core infrastructure that underpins a more free, secure, and user-empowering internet.
