📋 Description
- • Own Firecrawl's browser interaction layer (Interact), turning the data extraction tool into the eyes of AI agents on the web by enabling scraping followed by actions like clicking, filling forms, and navigating authenticated workflows.
- • Own the Interact product end-to-end, including scrape-then-interact workflows, prompt-based interaction, session chaining, persistent profiles, and live view, making product decisions before writing code.
- • Talk to customers constantly, analyze GitHub issues, Discord threads, and support tickets to uncover real needs behind feature requests and prioritize based on actual developer pain points.
- • Ship fast product experiments using hypothesis-build-measure-decide cycles in days, ensuring prompt-based interactions feel magical and reliable across any page.
- • Dogfood the API relentlessly by using it before shipping changes, ensuring the developer experience is intuitive and delightful at every level.
- • Work in a hybrid or remote role (Americas, UTC-3 to UTC-10) at Firecrawl, a profitable infrastructure company with 8-figure ARR, 100k+ GitHub stars, and a team of ~26 people building essential tools for AI agent web interaction.
- • Develop deep expertise in agentic systems, understanding how AI agents select and use tools, what makes interaction APIs reliable at scale, and how to validate whether agents prefer your solutions.
- • Grow as a product-led engineer who balances technical execution with sharp product judgment, learning to make prioritization calls with incomplete information and ship impactful features quickly.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience shipping developer-facing products in browser automation, web scraping, or agent tooling.
- • Strong product-first mindset: ability to form opinions on what to build and why before tickets are scoped, thrive in ambiguity, and make prioritization calls with incomplete information.
- • Deep empathy for developers: proven experience building tools that developers love, with sensitivity to the difference between "works" and "delights" at the API level.
- • Solid understanding of the scraping and browser data space: knowledge of what breaks, what’s hard, and what truly matters in real-world usage.
- • Familiarity with agentic systems: experience thinking about or building tooling for AI agents, including how agents select tools, where interaction fails, and what reliable workflows require.
- • Ability to ship fast and learn faster: comfort writing code, owning features end-to-end, and iterating rapidly based on feedback and metrics.
