📋 Description

• As a Product Engineering Manager at Granted Software Inc., you will lead the Growth team, owning the UX layer and front-end product engineering that shapes how users experience the platform, directly contributing to the mission of simplifying the US healthcare system by fighting claim denials, correcting billing errors, and making insurance coverage easier to understand.
• Day to day, you will own pod execution end-to-end—including sprint planning, retrospectives, delivery tracking, and clear communication of commitments and outcomes—while co-owning the Growth roadmap with your Product Manager, shaping scope, pushing back on priorities, and driving trade-off conversations as an equal partner.
• You will ship features across the full stack using TypeScript, React Native, NextJS, NestJS, and GraphQL, set technical direction through credible architecture calls and tooling improvements, and build team capacity via structured growth conversations, stretch assignments, and delegation to ensure the team operates effectively even in your absence.
• The team at Granted is a seed-stage, well-funded company backed by prominent investors including Hugging Face, Rocket Money, Oscar Health, and Forerunner Ventures, operating with a hybrid model in NYC where engineering is remote-first but collaboration is intentional; you will join a mission-driven culture focused on fixing healthcare through ownership, impact, and meaningful work, with the opportunity to grow as a leader while contributing as an individual contributor during your first three months to deeply understand the product and earn team trust.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of application engineering experience with depth in TypeScript and React
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience (engineering management strongly preferred; tech lead considered for exceptional candidates)
• Startup veteran — experience at a Series B or earlier company; zero-to-one experience is a strong plus
• Business-informed prioritization instincts — ability to connect engineering decisions to growth metrics and company strategy
• Backend proficiency alongside front-end strength — capable of owning architectural decisions across the full stack
• Willingness to contribute as an IC during onboarding and ongoing
