📋 Description

• As a Product Growth Engineer at Tailscale, you will play a key role in shaping the future of secure connectivity by developing features that drive user engagement and product adoption. This role matters because you will directly influence how individuals and organizations connect their devices and teams securely, contributing to Tailscale’s mission of rebuilding the Internet to be easy, sensible, and safe.
• Day to day, you will develop client and backend code, collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to ideate and prototype features, run experiments to measure user engagement, analyze growth metrics, and advocate for product-led growth practices across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Tailscale is a fully remote, early-stage company founded in 2019 and backed by top-tier investors including Accel, CRV, and Insight. The engineering team operates with high autonomy and asynchronous collaboration, valuing technical excellence, product thinking, and cross-functional alignment to deliver secure, user-friendly networking software used by hobbyists and enterprises worldwide.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development, grow your ability to balance technical execution with product strategy, and gain hands-on experience in experimentation, metrics-driven development, and influencing roadmap decisions — positioning you for impact in product engineering or technical leadership.
