- • As a Product Lead, Payments at Astra, you will own the end-to-end product surface for mission-critical money movement infrastructure, including Visa Direct, Mastercard Move, RTP, FedNow, ACH, and stablecoin rails, ensuring reliable, compliant, and developer-friendly payment flows that power billions in annual transaction volume.
- • You will drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Astra’s most revenue-critical product surface, working as an individual contributor with principal-level influence across engineering, compliance, and operations to deliver resilient, scalable payment solutions.
- • Day-to-day, you will write rigorous PRDs and technical specs for complex payment flows, own the product roadmap, conduct deep customer discovery, partner with engineering on API contracts, collaborate with compliance on regulatory changes, and work with payment operations on reconciliation and exception handling.
- • You will represent the payments product in customer conversations, sales cycles, and thought leadership, translating complex financial mechanics into clear product requirements and developer experiences.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in multi-rail payment orchestration, regulatory compliance (Reg E, NACHA, card network rules), and developer-centric API design, while influencing outcomes across teams without direct authority and helping define what great product management looks like at a high-growth infrastructure company.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years building payments products at infrastructure, fintech, or card network depth
- • Hands-on experience with at least two of: ACH, RTP/FedNow, Visa Direct/Mastercard Move, card issuing or acquiring, or stablecoin rails
- • Deep familiarity with the transaction lifecycle – authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes – and the operational mechanics underneath each step
- • Experience navigating Reg E, NACHA operating rules, or Visa/Mastercard network rules as inputs into product requirements
- • Strong API product instincts – you've shipped developer-facing payment APIs and have opinions about what makes them great
- • Comfort operating with ambiguity at the IC level – you don't need a manager to set your agenda
- • Exceptional written communication; you can reduce a complex payment flow to a clear, precise spec
- • Demonstrated ability to influence across engineering, compliance, and operations without direct authority
