Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of shipping-related features—from ideation and user-story writing to QA, launch, and post-launch performance tracking—while keeping the customer experience at the heart of every decision.
- • Collaborate daily with Product Managers in the Shipping and Delivery Experience squads to challenge, refine, and prioritize the roadmap based on customer pain-points, seller feedback, and data-driven insights.
- • Translate complex operational needs into crisp specifications and Jira tickets that engineers can execute against, ensuring every requirement is testable, measurable, and aligned with Back Market’s sustainability goals.
- • Run weekly QA cycles on staging and production environments, catching edge-cases before customers do and feeding learnings back into the backlog for continuous improvement.
- • Partner with Operations, IT Engineering, Content, and Design to design intuitive flows that reduce delivery friction, cut carbon emissions, and delight both buyers and sellers across 16 countries.
- • Build dashboards in BigQuery to monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, carrier SLA adherence, customer NPS, and CO₂ saved per shipment; present findings to stakeholders and propose data-backed next steps.
- • Facilitate sprint ceremonies—stand-ups, demos, retros—with a cross-functional squad of developers, data analysts, and operations specialists, ensuring Agile best practices are followed and blockers are removed fast.
- • Conduct user interviews and surveys with customers and third-party sellers to surface pain-points in packaging, tracking, returns, and pick-ups; synthesize insights into actionable product hypotheses.
- • Design and execute A/B tests on delivery messaging, packaging inserts, and tracking UX to quantify impact and scale winning variants to 100% traffic.
- • Shadow carrier negotiations and warehouse operations to understand real-world constraints, then translate those constraints into innovative product solutions that balance cost, speed, and sustainability.
- • Contribute to the quarterly OKR-setting process by proposing ambitious yet achievable targets that tie shipping improvements directly to revenue growth and environmental impact.
- • Champion accessibility and inclusivity in every feature—whether it’s ensuring tracking pages are screen-reader friendly or that delivery options serve customers in rural areas.
- • Document every experiment, decision, and rollout in Confluence so future interns and full-time teammates can build on your work without reinventing the wheel.
- • Present a final internship showcase to the VP of Product and the entire Shipping tribe, demonstrating measurable impact and recommending next-quarter initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently enrolled in a French higher-education program that can provide a 5–6 month internship agreement starting February 2026
- • Fluent in spoken and written English; able to articulate complex ideas clearly to international stakeholders
- • Demonstrated interest in product management—coursework, side projects, or prior internships that show user-centric thinking
- • Comfortable with basic data analysis; able to write simple SQL queries in BigQuery or similar tools
- • Nice-to-have: prior experience working with software developers, exposure to Agile ceremonies, or familiarity with shipping/logistics operations
🏖️ Benefits
- • Hybrid work model: two remote days per week plus one fully remote week each quarter, plus three additional flex days to recharge
- • A mission-driven culture where every feature you ship directly reduces e-waste and CO₂ emissions—92 % less than new devices
- • Access to Employee Resource Groups, mentorship programs, and cultural-competency training that accelerate personal and professional growth
