đź“‹ Description

  • • As Feathr’s Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our nonprofit marketing platform, a critical tool trusted by over 1,300 organizations to enhance their impact. You will own the product backlog, meticulously defining and prioritizing features that empower nonprofits to connect meaningfully with their communities and achieve greater results with confidence. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Feathr's mission of 'helping the helpers' by building an amazing culture where talented individuals can do their best work.
  • • Reporting directly to the VP of Product, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of product management activities. You will leverage a combination of data analysis, user research, and strategic insight to make product decisions that drive both customer value and company growth. Your ability to translate complex customer needs into actionable product requirements will be paramount.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with our talented design and engineering teams. You will work hand-in-hand with them to transform user insights and business objectives into well-defined features, guiding their implementation through development sprints. Ensuring seamless execution and a high-quality end product will be a core focus.
  • • Furthermore, you will serve as a vital link between product development and customer enablement. You will partner closely with the Customer Education team, providing them with the comprehensive information and context they need to develop effective documentation and training materials. This ensures that both our internal teams and our external nonprofit customers are fully equipped to leverage the platform's capabilities.
  • • Your day-to-day will involve a dynamic mix of strategic planning and tactical execution. You will regularly conduct customer interviews, surveys, focus groups, and other research activities to gain a deep understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and unmet needs within the nonprofit sector. This direct engagement with our users will be a cornerstone of your product strategy.
  • • Analyzing product usage metrics and other relevant data will be essential for understanding feature performance and identifying areas for improvement. You will use these insights to inform your prioritization decisions and to continuously iterate on the product, ensuring it remains relevant and impactful.
  • • You will be responsible for writing, prioritizing, and refining the product backlog, ensuring it remains tightly aligned with both overarching company goals and the evolving needs of our nonprofit customers. This requires a keen ability to balance competing demands and make data-informed trade-offs.
  • • Collaborating with the senior product designer to scope and define feature requirements will be a regular part of your workflow. You will ensure that designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally robust and aligned with user needs.
  • • During development sprints, you will partner closely with engineers, providing ongoing guidance, feedback, and clarification to ensure features are built according to specifications and product goals. Your active involvement will help maintain momentum and address any technical challenges that arise.
  • • Working with the Engineering Manager, you will help finalize sprint plans, ensuring that priorities are clear, realistic, and achievable within the given timelines. This involves effective communication and negotiation to optimize development velocity.
  • • You will also play a crucial role in coordinating with the Customer Education team. By providing them with detailed product information, you empower them to create accurate documentation and deliver effective training, which is vital for customer success and adoption.
  • • This role demands a proactive and insightful individual who can anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and drive product innovation. You will be a key contributor to Feathr's growth and success, directly impacting the ability of nonprofits to achieve their missions. Your work will be at the intersection of technology, customer needs, and social impact, making it a truly rewarding experience.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the SaaS landscape and a passion for building products that deliver tangible value. You will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making tough decisions, and championing the product vision across the organization. Your ability to foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams will be critical to your success.
  • • Ultimately, as Product Manager, you will be the voice of the customer within Feathr, ensuring that our product roadmap is driven by genuine user needs and strategic business objectives. You will have the autonomy to influence product direction and the support of a dedicated team committed to our mission.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog, aligning it with customer needs and business goals.
  • • Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including product design, engineering, and customer education.
  • • Strong analytical skills with experience using user research and product usage data to inform product decisions.
  • • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating product requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (99% health insurance coverage).
  • • Generous paid time off, including vacation time and sick time for physical and mental well-being.
  • • Extended "Summr" and "Wintr" breaks, providing extended periods for rest and rejuvenation.
  • • Potential for an annual bonus of up to 12% of base salary, rewarding performance and contribution.
