- • Lead the product strategy and execution for Octopus Energy’s Low Carbon Tech team, focusing on scaling the installation of EV chargers, solar panels, batteries, and heat pumps in UK homes.
- • Own the end-to-end customer journey for low carbon technology adoption, ensuring it remains fast, transparent, and predictable as demand grows.
- • Build and lead a small, dedicated multi-disciplinary product team within the broader Low Carbon Tech organisation to reimagine and streamline the customer experience from discovery to installation.
- • Drive rapid product discovery and continuous experimentation to identify and eliminate real-world friction points in the customer journey.
- • Collaborate closely with engineering, data, marketing, and operations teams to align product development with business goals and customer needs.
- • Leverage data fluency to inform product decisions, measure impact, and iterate quickly based on real-world customer outcomes.
- • Utilise rapid AI prototyping to test and validate new product concepts before full-scale development.
- • Champion customer-centricity by embedding user feedback loops and usability insights into every stage of the product lifecycle.
- • Translate complex technical and operational constraints into clear, actionable product requirements that engineering teams can execute.
- • Work in an agile, flat-hierarchy environment where autonomy, creativity, and ownership are core to success.
- • Deliver digital products that directly contribute to the UK’s renewable energy transition by making low carbon tech accessible, simple, and desirable for homeowners.
- • Measure success through tangible outcomes: increased adoption rates, reduced customer friction, higher satisfaction scores, and faster installation timelines.
- • Scale proven Octopus Energy products and experiences internationally, applying lessons learned in the UK market to global markets.
- • Act as the primary product voice within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and customer impact.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of the energy sector, emerging low carbon technologies, and evolving regulatory landscapes affecting home electrification.
- • Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation, learning from failures, and celebrating bold ideas that improve the customer experience.
