đź“‹ Description

  • • The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) is dedicated to fostering a more equitable and resilient world through its impactful initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program. We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Product Manager to join our San Francisco team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our digital products, content, and programs, ultimately impacting how millions of women engage with Lean In and empowering them to reach their full potential.
  • • As a Product Manager at SGBFF, you will be more than just a product owner; you will be a key architect of our presence and impact in the world. You will be responsible for defining and executing a clear, ambitious product vision that directly advances Lean In’s core mission. This involves identifying and rigorously evaluating new opportunities for products, features, and programs that can amplify our reach and deepen our engagement with women globally.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve strategic thinking about how technology, content, and community can be synergistically leveraged to empower women. You will be adept at making thoughtful tradeoffs, balancing the drive for innovation with a deep understanding of user needs, ambitious metric goals, and the organization's overarching priorities. This role demands a leader who can think big while also meticulously planning and executing.
  • • You will take ownership of the product roadmap for Lean In’s critical digital assets, including its website and community engagement platforms. A key focus will be on strengthening the tools and features that enable our Circle members to connect, support one another effectively, and foster personal and professional growth. This requires close collaboration with our talented engineering, design, and data science teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional, user-centric experiences.
  • • Furthermore, you will actively identify opportunities to scale user engagement and strategically expand our global reach. This includes exploring new markets, adapting content for diverse audiences, and ensuring our platforms are accessible and impactful worldwide. Your work will directly contribute to building a more inclusive and supportive global community for women.
  • • Beyond digital platforms, you will play a crucial role in developing new program concepts and innovative community experiences. This involves collaborating closely with our content and social media teams to bring compelling ideas to life, experimenting with new formats, channels, and approaches to reach and engage our audience in novel ways.
  • • You will be at the forefront of launching and iterating on 0-to-1 initiatives, which are entirely new ventures designed to extend our impact and explore uncharted territory in empowering women. This entrepreneurial aspect of the role offers a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up and see it flourish.
  • • A metrics-driven approach is fundamental to this role. You will be responsible for defining clear, measurable success metrics for all products and initiatives. You will leverage data extensively to inform every decision, continuously monitor performance, and drive iterative improvements. Effectively communicating progress, insights, and the overall impact to leadership and various stakeholders will be essential for ensuring alignment and securing support.
  • • As a leader, you will guide cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from initial ideation and concept development to successful launch and ongoing iteration. Your ability to inspire and align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision is paramount. You will be expected to navigate ambiguity with clarity, confidence, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • • Building and nurturing strong, collaborative relationships across engineering, design, marketing, programs, and community teams will be key to your success. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization with a profound global impact, working alongside passionate individuals dedicated to creating a more equal world.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of strong execution on digital products.
  • • Experience managing technical products in close partnership with engineering teams, understanding the software development lifecycle.
  • • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive results in complex, ambiguous environments, navigating challenges with strategic thinking.
  • • Deep fluency in defining goals, setting key performance indicators (KPIs), and making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
  • • Strong strategic thinking capabilities combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach to bringing products to market.
  • • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling product vision and rally stakeholders.
  • • A deep, demonstrated commitment to Lean In’s mission to inspire and equip women to lead, and alignment with the broader mission of the Sandberg Bernthal Family Foundation.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to support your health and well-being.
  • • A competitive 401(k) retirement savings plan with a generous 4% employer match to help secure your financial future.
  • • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays, to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • • Additional benefits specifically designed to support employee well-being and foster long-term professional success, reflecting the foundation's commitment to its people.
