We are developing distributed open-ocean systems that empower every vessel with enhanced sensing, computing, and communication capabilities, significantly improving maritime domain awareness for critical stakeholders.
- • We are seeking a highly accomplished and mission-driven Product Manager to spearhead the strategic development and execution of our core maritime domain awareness web application and associated data products. This pivotal role is designed for an individual with a profound understanding of defense operations, a passion for user-centric research, and a demonstrated ability to translate complex user needs into highly impactful product features that foster deep adoption and become indispensable tools.
- • The Product Manager will be instrumental in defining and driving the product strategy and roadmap for our web application and data products. This involves ensuring a strong alignment with the specific mission requirements of our government and defense sector customers, adhering to stringent security protocols, and contributing directly to the overarching company objectives.
- • A key focus of this role will be on user engagement and adoption. You will be tasked with implementing and refining strategies to measurably increase Daily Active Users (DAU) and enhance overall product engagement within our target customer base. This will involve a rigorous analysis of usage data to inform and prioritize feature development, ensuring that our product evolves in direct response to user behavior and needs.
- • Developing an expert-level comprehension of end-user workflows is paramount. This includes understanding critical processes such as intelligence gathering, mission planning, and surveillance operations. By deeply immersing yourself in these workflows, you will identify significant pain points and uncover opportunities for seamless platform integration and optimization, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- • You will drive the concept development for new features and products, with the ultimate goal of creating tools that are not just useful, but mission-critical and indispensable for our defense and government users. This requires a proactive approach to identifying unmet needs and envisioning innovative solutions.
- • The role demands the ability to author clear, detailed product requirements (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria. This ensures that the development teams have a precise understanding of what needs to be built and why, facilitating efficient and accurate execution.
- • Effective cross-functional leadership is essential. You will collaborate closely with growth, UI/UX, and technical teams to ensure that customer needs and engineering priorities are consistently aligned. This collaborative approach will foster a cohesive product development environment, driving towards shared goals.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology with a tangible global impact, contributing to the safety and sustainability of our oceans. The role is based in our Arlington, VA office, offering flexible working hours with the understanding that occasional deadlines may require high availability.
- • You will be responsible for conducting in-depth user research, both qualitative and quantitative, to gain a comprehensive understanding of our users' challenges and requirements. This research will directly inform product strategy and feature prioritization.
- • The Product Manager will champion the product vision, acting as the voice of the customer within the organization and ensuring that the product roadmap reflects the most critical needs of the defense and government sectors.
- • You will work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling product messaging and go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches and sustained adoption.
- • This role requires a proactive and analytical mindset, with a strong ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear user benefits and operational value propositions.
- • You will be expected to manage the product lifecycle from ideation through launch and iteration, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation to evolving market and customer needs.
- • The Product Manager will play a key role in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product, using data to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- • This position is ideal for a seasoned Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex, real-world problems in the maritime domain.
