Full Job Description
đ Description
- ⢠Own end-to-end delivery of major Planner initiatives, from discovery through QA to launch, ensuring features meet user needs and quality standards.
- ⢠Write clear, actionable product specifications that enable designers and developers to execute accurately and efficiently.
- ⢠Make daily tradeoffs between scope, timeline, and quality to keep initiatives on track without compromising user outcomes.
- ⢠Identify and resolve blockers early by proactively coordinating across engineering, design, and customer-facing teams.
- ⢠Define and enforce the definition of âdoneâ for all features, ensuring consistent quality and reliability across Plannerâs functionality.
- ⢠Engage directly with customers, Customer Experience (CX), Customer Success (CS), and Account Managers (AMs) to understand how Planner is used on construction sites, identify pain points, and validate feature ideas with real workflows.
- ⢠Translate user feedback, bug reports, and behavioral data into precise product requirements that address real gaps in planning, scheduling, and daily coordination.
- ⢠Test product directions with actual site teams before finalizing development scope to ensure solutions are grounded in real-world use.
- ⢠Track post-launch adoption and usage metrics to determine if shipped features are delivering intended outcomes and iterate as needed.
- ⢠Partner closely with designers to refine feature scope, user flows, and wireframes iteratively throughout development cycles.
- ⢠Collaborate with staff engineers to assess technical feasibility, evaluate proof-of-concepts, and align on architectural decisions impacting Planner.
- ⢠Coordinate with Customer Experience, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to align on launch timing, messaging, and customer communication for new features.
- ⢠Manage cross-functional dependencies, unblocking teams when bottlenecks arise in design, engineering, or customer validation processes.
- ⢠Experiment with and improve internal product processesâincluding discovery methods, spec documentation, testing routines, and coordination rhythmsâto increase team velocity and effectiveness.
- ⢠Work with the QA lead to manually test high-impact features and partner on building automated test coverage that prevents regressions.
- ⢠Triage bugs alongside Customer Experience, using insights to inform improvements in development practices, testing, and feature design.
- ⢠Make final âship-or-holdâ decisions on features under your ownership, balancing speed of delivery with the need for reliability and user trust.
- ⢠Contribute to shaping how the Planner team operates, helping evolve product practices as the team scales and matures.
- ⢠Deepen understanding of construction project workflowsâsuch as lookaheads, resource planning, spatial coordination, and daily briefingsâto ensure Planner remains the most trusted platform for major infrastructure projects.
- ⢠Extend Plannerâs capabilities into adjacent product areas as Aphex grows, ensuring seamless integration with new modules while preserving core functionality.
- ⢠Maintain a deep, continuous connection to the construction industry context: roads, rail, tunnels, hospitals, and wind farmsâwhere Plannerâs accuracy directly impacts project timelines and safety.
- ⢠Bring structured product discipline to a team rooted in deep industry expertise, blending proven product practices with domain-specific insights.
- ⢠Champion quality across all stages of the product lifecycle, ensuring every feature shipped enhances, rather than complicates, the daily work of site teams.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠2+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
- ⢠Proven track record of shipping features end-to-end from discovery through launch
- ⢠Strong product instincts and ability to define what âgoodâ looks like in complex product environments
- ⢠Ability to write clear, detailed product specifications and make daily tradeoff decisions independently
- ⢠Experience working closely with engineering and design teams in agile environments
- ⢠Solid grounding in standard product practices with flexibility to adapt methods based on context
đď¸ Benefits
- ⢠A high-performing, collaborative, and motivated team environment
- ⢠Hybrid working model with access to a convenient WeWork office
- ⢠Ongoing training, learning, and coaching with a dedicated training allowance
- ⢠Focus on culture and real impact, with emphasis on walking the talk on team values
