Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Shape the future of public services as a Product Manager at Corbalt, a tight-knit team of technologists who helped rescue healthcare.gov and continue to modernize critical government systems. You will own the full product lifecycle for software that directly affects millions of Americans—turning complex policy and operational challenges into elegant, scalable solutions.
- • Partner with federal and state agencies, policy experts, and end-users to uncover real-world pain points and translate them into clear product requirements. You’ll run discovery workshops, conduct user interviews, and synthesize findings into actionable epics and user stories that the engineering team can execute against.
- • Author crisp, comprehensive functional design documents that bridge policy intent with technical reality. Your specs will guide engineers, designers, and QA analysts, ensuring every feature aligns with compliance mandates, security standards, and user needs while remaining simple and maintainable.
- • Own and evangelize the product roadmap. You’ll balance long-term vision with tactical delivery, sequencing work to hit legislative deadlines, grant milestones, and program launch dates. Expect to negotiate scope, manage risk, and communicate trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Drive agile ceremonies—daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives—keeping a fully remote team of engineers, designers, and subject-matter experts aligned and motivated. You’ll track velocity, burndown, and service-level objectives, surfacing blockers early and celebrating wins often.
- • Present progress and gather feedback in executive briefings, inter-agency governance meetings, and public stakeholder sessions. Your ability to distill complex technical topics into concise narratives will secure buy-in, unlock budgets, and maintain trust across a wide range of audiences.
- • Generate recurring analytics dashboards and narrative reports that quantify impact—enrollment rates, system uptime, user satisfaction, and cost savings—and use these insights to iterate on the product strategy. You’ll define KPIs, instrument telemetry, and champion data-driven decision making.
- • Foster a culture of kindness, curiosity, and continuous improvement. You’ll mentor junior team members, share lessons learned from past launches, and actively contribute to Corbalt’s internal knowledge base so that every project benefits from collective expertise.
- • Travel occasionally (2–4 times per year) for multi-day in-person retreats and on-site client workshops. These gatherings strengthen relationships, spark innovation, and ensure the remote team remains cohesive and inspired.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional product management experience, ideally in enterprise, SaaS, or civic-tech environments
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory or policy requirements into clear technical specifications
- • Proven track record of delivering production-grade software on time using agile methodologies
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive and government stakeholders
- • U.S. citizenship or existing work authorization and residence in the United States
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary of $113,778–$149,565 plus profit-sharing and discretionary bonuses
- • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and eligible dependents
- • 401(k) with 3% company contribution, paid vacation, sick leave, and all federal holidays
- • Annual reimbursement for home-office equipment, co-working memberships, and professional development
- • Fully remote culture with quarterly in-person retreats in inspiring locations across the U.S.
