  • • As a Product Manager for Agent Development in Healthcare, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle of enterprise-grade AI agents. This involves deep collaboration with our world-class engineering teams and direct engagement with our diverse healthcare clientele, which includes major health insurance networks, nonprofit providers, multi-site primary and urgent care practices, healthcare diagnostics companies, and healthcare financial platforms. Your work will directly contribute to AI agents that handle thousands of customer conversations daily, assisting users with understanding their coverage, locating providers, scheduling appointments, resolving complex billing inquiries, and much more, all while adhering to stringent HIPAA compliance and maintaining the utmost trust required in healthcare.
  • • A critical aspect of this role is ground-up discovery. You will be tasked with identifying new use cases and opportunities where AI Agents can deliver substantial impact for our customers. This requires working closely with providers, payers, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) professionals, and pharmaceutical companies to understand their unique challenges and strategic objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the potential of AI and driving strategic decisions that align with their business goals and improve patient experiences.
  • • Customer engagement is paramount. You will interact with stakeholders at all levels of our customers' organizations. This includes discovering and meticulously assessing their requirements, preparing and delivering compelling demonstrations of Sierra's AI agent capabilities, and proactively addressing and overcoming technical challenges in their business processes by collaborating with our technical counterparts. A key responsibility is to develop and continuously improve Sierra's virtual agents, ensuring they not only fit but also anticipate our customers' evolving needs and business processes. Your expertise will position you as a strategic technical advisor, helping clients navigate and leverage AI for transformative outcomes.
  • • Your direct involvement with healthcare customers will significantly shape the evolution of Sierra's core platform and the broader healthcare roadmap. You will be instrumental in surfacing unmet needs, prototyping innovative new tools and features, and collaborating closely with our research, product, and platform teams. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for defining the future of AI agent development specifically within the healthcare domain, ensuring Sierra remains at the cutting edge.
  • • Example projects you might undertake include developing net-new agentic healthcare products aimed at reducing costs and driving revenue within the healthcare ecosystem. You could build AI agents for major health insurance networks capable of handling intricate benefit inquiries, such as co-pay details for primary care visits or remaining physical therapy session allowances. Another area of impact could be developing voice and chat agents for nonprofit healthcare providers to help members find in-network specialists, check availability, and locate providers based on specialty or location. You might also create AI agents for multi-site primary and urgent care providers to streamline appointment management and address common questions across numerous clinics, or build agents that replace cumbersome paper intake forms with intuitive conversational experiences to boost pre-visit intake conversion rates. Furthermore, developing AI agents for healthcare financial platforms to assist patients with understanding billing, payment status, explanations of benefits, and financial assistance eligibility is a key opportunity. Finally, you will have the chance to experiment with and integrate the latest voice models at scale for healthcare enterprises that require secure, compliant phone interactions.
  • • This role demands a blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, customer empathy, and a genuine passion for improving healthcare outcomes. You will be a key player in a fast-paced, innovative environment, contributing to products that make healthcare more accessible and human for everyone. 🎯 Requirements

  • • 5-7+ years of experience in product development for highly technical products.
  • • Proven experience in Product Management or similar product development roles at or above the Senior Product Manager level.
  • • Demonstrated ability to craft and tailor compelling messages for diverse audiences, including senior executives.
  • • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate highly technical concepts to both non-technical and technically proficient audiences, including recent AI developments.
  • • Genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a passion for improving patient and member experiences.
