  • • As a Product Manager for Buyer Experience at IAA, a part of RB Global, you will be at the forefront of shaping the digital automotive marketplace's evolution. Your primary mission will be to meticulously craft and enhance the end-to-end journey for our buyers, from their initial search for a vehicle to the final purchase. This role is pivotal in transforming how customers discover, evaluate, and acquire vehicles online, ensuring an experience that is not only intuitive and user-friendly but also deeply informed by data and driven by measurable outcomes.
  • • You will be instrumental in driving product innovation and strategy for our buyer-facing platforms. This involves a deep dive into critical areas such as search functionality, search engine optimization (SEO), personalized recommendations, and effective merchandising strategies. Your work will directly impact how buyers interact with our vast inventory, making it easier and more efficient for them to find the perfect vehicle.
  • • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Marketing. This collaborative environment will allow you to leverage the collective expertise of these departments to build and refine product features that resonate with our target audience and meet ambitious business objectives.
  • • A core aspect of your responsibility will be to own and continuously evolve the buyer journey. This encompasses every touchpoint, from initial search queries and browsing through detailed vehicle evaluations to the final transaction. You will be the champion for the buyer, ensuring their needs and pain points are understood and addressed through thoughtful product development.
  • • Data will be your compass. You will be expected to utilize a robust combination of data analysis, A/B testing, and direct customer insights to inform and validate every product decision. This data-driven approach ensures that our product roadmap is not based on assumptions but on concrete evidence of what works best for our users and the business.
  • • You will partner closely with Engineering and Design teams to translate complex business needs and user requirements into actionable product specifications, detailed user stories, and well-defined backlogs. This ensures that development efforts are focused, efficient, and aligned with the product vision.
  • • A significant part of this role involves building and executing a comprehensive product roadmap. This roadmap must be strategically aligned with RB Global's overarching growth objectives, ensuring that product initiatives contribute directly to key business outcomes, such as increased buyer engagement, conversion rates, and overall revenue.
  • • You will be empowered to explore and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), to significantly enhance core functionalities. This includes optimizing search algorithms for more relevant results, developing sophisticated recommendation engines, delivering hyper-personalized user experiences, and improving merchandising effectiveness to showcase vehicles in the most compelling way.
  • • Continuous monitoring of product performance is essential. You will employ analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and various experimentation platforms, to track key metrics, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for improvement. This ongoing analysis allows for agile adjustments and iterative enhancements to the product.
  • • Translating complex data insights and user feedback into clear, concise product requirements and user stories will be a critical skill. This ensures that the development teams have a precise understanding of what needs to be built and why.
  • • You will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing opportunities that demonstrably improve buyer engagement and conversion rates. This involves a keen eye for identifying friction points in the user journey and developing solutions to overcome them.
  • • Ensuring the highest standards of product quality is paramount. You will remain deeply involved throughout the development and release cycles, collaborating with QA and Engineering to guarantee a seamless and bug-free user experience.
  • • Effective communication is vital. You will be expected to clearly articulate progress, potential risks, and necessary trade-offs to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
  • • A key aspect of product management is balancing competing priorities. You will skillfully manage scope, prioritize features based on business value and technical feasibility, assess technical risks, and weigh these against the potential business impact of each initiative.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by the delivery of a clear, well-executed product roadmap that demonstrably drives buyer engagement and revenue growth. It will also be evidenced by measurable improvements in search and discovery performance, strong alignment and predictable delivery from cross-functional teams, and the consistent application of data-informed decisions leading to tangible business value.
