- • Lead client discovery sessions post-sale to understand business goals, customer journeys, and operational processes for enterprise Shopify commerce projects.
- • Partner with Technical Architects, Solutions Engineers, and Delivery Managers to define clear project scope, alignment, and baseline requirements.
- • Translate discovery insights into a product vision, measurable objectives, and agreed-upon scope baseline for large-scale Shopify migrations and new builds.
- • Build and maintain a structured product backlog with epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, prioritizing work based on client value and technical feasibility.
- • Facilitate trade-off discussions with clients and internal teams to align on scope, timeline, and resource allocation while protecting project boundaries.
- • Own the roadmap and prioritization process for Shopify Plus commerce initiatives, including platform migrations from legacy systems like SFCC, Magento, or Hybris.
- • Work closely with Delivery Managers and engineering teams to ensure delivery aligns with defined product goals, providing continuous context during sprints.
- • Support UAT and client enablement activities before and after releases, ensuring smooth handoffs and adoption of new commerce experiences.
- • Define and track KPIs tied to conversion rate, average order value (AOV), retention, scalability, and operational efficiency to measure product impact.
- • Review delivered functionality with clients, recommending iterative improvements while maintaining discipline around scope and budget constraints.
- • Act as a strategic product partner to enterprise Shopify clients, driving long-term growth and value beyond initial project delivery.
- • Help establish Product Management as a formal discipline within Lazer Commerce by building frameworks for discovery, documentation, and delivery.
- • Mentor peers across teams in product-led, scope-driven thinking and best practices for agency-based product delivery.
- • Contribute to agency thought leadership by developing case studies, internal playbooks, and best practices for enterprise commerce projects.
- • Manage change requests transparently, using data and clear trade-off analysis to communicate impact on timeline, cost, and scope to clients and stakeholders.
- • Navigate complex enterprise stakeholder environments, collaborating effectively with C-suite, product, engineering, and operational teams.
- • Maintain technical literacy in commerce ecosystems including ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, CDP, payment gateways, APIs, and headless architectures.
- • Operate within agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and discovery methodologies to ensure structured yet flexible execution.
- • Drive clarity in ambiguous situations, protecting team focus and delivering meaningful outcomes under evolving client needs.
- • Contribute to a remote-first, globally distributed team with meaningful overlap in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- • Support multi-market or international commerce initiatives where applicable, understanding regional compliance, localization, and scaling challenges.
- • Leverage analytics and experimentation tools (CRO, A/B testing) to inform product decisions and optimize client outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Product Owner roles within brand, agency, or consultancy environments
- • Proven track record delivering large-scale digital commerce projects, including migrations from legacy platforms (SFCC, Magento, Hybris) to modern SaaS ecosystems
- • Deep familiarity with Shopify Plus and the broader commerce technology stack (ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, CDP, payments, APIs)
- • Fluency in agile delivery practices (Scrum, SAFe) and discovery frameworks with a structured yet adaptable mindset
- • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for aligning cross-functional and multi-stakeholder teams
- • Technical literacy in APIs, integrations, and commerce architecture fundamentals combined with strong commercial acumen focused on ROI
