- • Abridge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to spearhead product strategy and execution for its Core Product Experiences pillar. This critical area forms the bedrock of Abridge's offerings, encompassing the essential documentation and workflow experiences that clinicians engage with daily. The success of this pillar directly influences user adoption, retention, and expansion across Abridge's extensive customer base, which spans over 250 health systems and has facilitated more than 80 million clinical conversations.
- • In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of clinical workflows, leveraging AI to enhance clinician efficiency and reduce administrative burdens. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for a core product domain, which could include aspects like note quality, clinical workflow optimization, personalization features, or specific care settings (ambulatory, emergency, inpatient). Your primary responsibility will be to define and deliver intuitive, reliable, and clinically valuable experiences that clinicians not only use but also trust and appreciate.
- • A significant part of your role will involve deep engagement with clinicians. This includes conducting hands-on user research, such as shadowing physicians in exam rooms and observing their interactions with documentation tools. By understanding the granular friction points across various specialties and care settings, you will translate these insights into concrete product strategies and convictions. You will be expected to meticulously focus on the details, understanding that the difference between a "fine" note and one that a clinician implicitly trusts is paramount.
- • Collaboration will be key, as you will partner closely with engineering, design, and Machine Learning (ML) teams to bring these high-quality clinical workflows to life. A crucial aspect of this role involves ensuring seamless integration with Electronic Health Record (EHR) environments, particularly Epic. You will need to understand the nuances of both embedded and standalone Abridge experiences within these complex systems, ensuring that Abridge workflows fit naturally into existing clinical routines without causing disruption.
- • You will be responsible for defining key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption rates, clinician retention, encounter share, and quality scores. Utilizing data will be essential to evaluate the effectiveness of your product initiatives and to foster a culture of continuous measurement and iteration within your team. This data-driven approach will guide product decisions and ensure that Abridge is consistently improving its offerings based on tangible outcomes.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to navigating ambiguity and a commitment to moving at a rapid pace. You will be expected to create structure and clarity in areas where the optimal path forward may not be immediately apparent. This involves forming hypotheses, testing them swiftly, and adapting your strategy based on incoming data and user feedback. Your ability to manage complex, multifaceted problems and translate them into actionable product plans will be critical for success.
- • This is a unique opportunity to drive substantial impact on the daily lives of clinicians at scale, within some of the largest health systems in the United States. By owning a core product area, you will directly contribute to Abridge's mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare and setting new industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI in health systems. Your work will directly influence how healthcare professionals interact with technology, ultimately benefiting patient care.
