📋 Description
- • Product Manager - Creator Activation at Substack, focused on helping new creators achieve early traction and sustained growth by shaping product experience, guidance, and feedback loops.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing creator activation strategy, measuring growth and network health, building roadmaps, running experiments, and leading cross-functional teams across product, design, engineering, and analytics.
- • Substack is building a new economic engine for culture, empowering independent creators to publish, share, and monetize their work through subscriptions with creative freedom and direct audience connection.
- • In this role, you will learn to define activation metrics, build scalable product systems, influence go-to-market strategy, and drive impact on creator outcomes and network health through data-informed product decisions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager
- • Strong creator empathy and understanding of creator goals and platform tradeoffs
- • Excellent analytical skills, competence in SQL, and experience with BI tools for defining metrics and building measurement frameworks
- • Experience running experiments and shipping iterative improvements to onboarding, education, or activation funnels
- • Strong communication skills: able to write strategy docs, blog posts, and present regularly to the company
- • Comfortable operating at every level of abstraction from high-level strategy to detailed CTA copy
