đź“‹ Description
- • CDK Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our dynamic Digital Retailing team. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our automotive retail software solutions, contributing to an existing product strategy and driving the full product lifecycle from initial ideation through to end-of-life.
- • You will be responsible for defining and refining specific product feature requirements, ensuring they align with our overarching product vision and deliver exceptional value to our dealership clients. While this role focuses on enhancing existing products, your contributions will directly impact the evolution and success of our market-leading SaaS platform.
- • A key aspect of your responsibility will be translating the defined product vision and high-level Features (Epics) into actionable user stories. This process will involve deep dives into feedback from dealers and customers, thorough analysis of user and buyer personas, and a commitment to delivering differentiated customer outcomes that drive business success for our clients.
- • You will actively manage the product backlog for agile sprint teams. This involves close collaboration with the Scrum Master to prioritize user stories, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process from definition and beta testing through to showcase and retrospective phases.
- • Partnering with other CDK Product Managers and Product Marketing teams will be essential. You will work collaboratively to articulate the value proposition of your defined user stories and Features (Epics), ensuring clear communication of product benefits to internal stakeholders and the market.
- • A strong understanding of key product success metrics is vital. You will be expected to track and analyze metrics such as adoption rates, profitability, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and market share growth, and understand how these relate to the user stories and Features (Epics) you manage.
- • Continuous learning and development are encouraged. You will invest time in gaining functional expertise and becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through structured training and by partnering with more experienced CDK Product Managers.
- • Your role will involve developing and prioritizing user stories based on a comprehensive understanding of user and market requirements, aligning with the overall product strategy and business plan.
- • You will ensure that user personas and product requirements are clearly defined and accurately reflected in user stories, serving as the voice of the customer within the development process.
- • You may also own or assist in the development of Epics, contributing to the strategic roadmap of our digital retailing products.
- • You will work closely with the Scrum Master and the agile team on backlog grooming, making timely and informed decisions on product requirement trade-offs to maintain development velocity and product quality.
- • This position offers moderate supervision, with little instruction needed for routine work but detailed guidance on new projects or assignments. You will have latitude for independent judgment on defined tasks, utilizing existing procedures to complete diverse assignments.
- • Your success in this role will have a direct impact on overall product deliverables and related customer and business outcomes. While you will have limited impact on major commitments, issues encountered can typically be overcome with no more than a moderate disruption to the business.
- • You will gain valuable experience in the automotive industry and understand the unique customer environments that CDK serves, contributing to the continuous improvement of our cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables dealerships to manage their end-to-end business operations.
- • This is an opportunity to be part of a company that is automating and streamlining critical workflows, helping dealers sell and service more vehicles by creating simple and convenient experiences for customers, and ultimately improving their financial and operational performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- • 2+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Management role, or equivalent experience in Support, Implementation, Success, or Training, with a demonstrated willingness to learn.
- • Experience with Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and working with globally distributed teams.
- • Proven experience in creating detailed user stories and working with R&D and other product managers to drive end-to-end product release execution.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience facilitating customer communications and the ability to listen, consider different viewpoints, and build consensus across cross-functional areas.
- • Technical aptitude to work effectively with R&D teams to translate business requirements into actionable user stories.

- • Paid Time Off (PTO) for work-life balance.

- • Tuition reimbursement to encourage continuous learning and professional development.
- • Opportunity to work remotely within the USA.
