  • • Own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and roadmap for a core AI-native product at Ramp, driving product direction for systems that manage billions in business spend.
  • • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and designers to execute high-velocity product development, balancing data-driven decisions with principled intuition.
  • • Translate complex AI systems—such as prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation—into intuitive, user-facing products that abstract technical depth for finance teams.
  • • Rapidly prototype product concepts using AI-assisted tools like Cursor, Bolt, and Claude Code to accelerate development cycles and reach production-ready solutions.
  • • Stay deeply engaged with cutting-edge AI research, industry trends, and emerging applications, filtering signal from noise to creatively apply innovations to Ramp’s platform.
  • • Synthesize customer insights with technical possibilities to design elegant user experiences that solve high-stakes, data-dense financial problems.
  • • Contribute to evolving Ramp’s product management practices as AI scales across the organization, shaping how PMs operate in an AI-native environment.
  • • Communicate complex technical systems clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating them into compelling narratives that align teams and drive buy-in.
  • • Drive experimentation and data analysis to measure product impact, while recognizing when qualitative judgment and customer empathy must override quantitative signals.
  • • Collaborate with product teams across Spend Management, Procurement, Treasury, Bill Payments, Risk, Growth, Accounting, and Travel to ensure alignment and integration of AI capabilities.
  • • Work in-person at Ramp’s NYC or SF office at least two days per week to foster collaboration and team cohesion.
  • • Build products that directly impact how 70,000+ companies automate payments, categorize spend, flag risk, and close books—delivering measurable outcomes like 5% cost savings and 16% revenue growth.

🎯 Requirements

  • • BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or related)
  • • Minimum 4 years of product management or adjacent product-building experience
  • • Fluency with core LLM concepts (prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, evaluation) and modern prototyping tools (Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code, Figma, Git)
  • • Strong customer empathy and design thinking, with proven ability to lead small cross-functional teams toward ambitious goals
  • • Passion for AI demonstrated through hands-on building, prototyping, side projects, or active engagement with AI research and tools
  • • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
