  • • Lead product strategy and delivery for a next-generation federal platform modernization program aimed at consolidating fragmented legacy systems into a unified, modern solution.
  • • Own and prioritize the product backlog with full traceability to contractual commitments and federal mission objectives.
  • • Collaborate with federal stakeholders, UX designers, and engineering teams to translate complex policy and operational requirements into actionable product roadmaps.
  • • Drive measurable outcomes through OKRs, User Validation Events (UVEs), and quarterly roadmap delivery aligned to contractual milestones.
  • • Utilize SAFe Agile methodologies including PI Planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and hypothesis-driven development to manage a multi-increment product lifecycle.
  • • Manage the product roadmap across base year and option year scope, balancing system consolidation with future capability growth.
  • • Engage with federal executives and program leadership to present insights, strategies, and progress updates via monthly health indicators and quarterly roadmap reviews.
  • • Coordinate cross-team dependencies with DevSecOps, security/compliance, and UX teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • • Translate intricate federal domain concepts into tangible artifacts and actionable product strategies.
  • • Cultivate strong relationships with federal customers to ensure project success, identify opportunities to expand platform value, and conduct User Validation Events.
  • • Apply a user-centered approach to design and improve complex federal workflows in collaboration with UX teams.
  • • Manage day-to-day backlog and delivery using Jira or equivalent tools.
  • • Maintain strong stakeholder management and communication skills at both technical and executive levels.
  • • Mobilize cross-functional teams toward achieving key mission outcomes with strategic vision aligned to the customer’s modernization goals.
  • • Navigate complex federal client ecosystems and build long-term partnerships to support sustained program success.
  • • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities within existing federal client relationships.
  • • Influence and gain buy-in from internal stakeholders and federal executives to advance product initiatives.
  • • Ensure technical understanding of ATO/DevSecOps processes to effectively guide engineering deliverables.
  • • Deliver high-impact solutions in a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment within a federal IT modernization context.
  • • Support system decommissioning efforts as part of legacy system consolidation initiatives.
  • • Work within a full-flex work week model to balance professional responsibilities with personal priorities.
  • • Operate in a remote capacity with less than 10% travel required.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Active Secret security clearance
  • • U.S. citizenship
  • • 7+ years of product management experience within a scaled Agile or SAFe organization
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • • Demonstrated experience in product strategy and development on federal IT modernization programs
  • • Proven ability to manage multiple full product lifecycles from discovery to delivery
