• • As a Product Manager for AI Models at Heidi Health Pty Ltd, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of healthcare AI, owning the strategic direction and execution of the core AI models that power our revolutionary Care Partner platform.
• • This pivotal role involves defining and driving the product strategy and roadmap for Heidi's models platform, encompassing critical areas such as evaluation pipelines, fine-tuning infrastructure, model routing mechanisms, and robust safety systems.
• • You will be instrumental in setting clear, measurable goals for your team and will be directly accountable for achieving them, ensuring the continuous improvement and reliability of our AI capabilities.
• • A key responsibility will be to identify and address bottlenecks within the models platform that hinder the progress of product teams, proactively optimizing workflows and infrastructure to enhance their speed and efficiency.
• • You will lead the development of user-friendly evaluation tooling and streamlined fine-tuning workflows, ensuring they are practical and effective for engineers and product teams operating in demanding clinical settings.
• • Your role will involve a deep dive into clinician feedback, model quality signals, and the evolving needs of product teams to make informed decisions about future improvements and strategic priorities.
• • You will expertly manage and allocate engineering capacity across various product teams, balancing their competing demands with your strategic priorities, and communicating these decisions with clarity and transparency.
• • Collaborating closely with engineers, you will contribute to technical discussions regarding evaluation design, fine-tuning trade-offs, and model architecture decisions, leveraging your technical depth to guide development.
• • You will establish rigorous model quality and safety targets, directly linking them to tangible clinical outcomes, such as the accuracy of diagnoses captured in notes or the completeness of referral letters.
• • A significant aspect of your role will be to identify and consolidate redundant infrastructure being built by separate product teams, fostering a more unified and efficient platform.
• • You will continuously monitor advancements in foundation models and be prepared to adapt your roadmap accordingly, ensuring Heidi remains at the cutting edge of AI technology.
• • In the past six weeks, a successful candidate would have defined a practical evaluation framework for model quality, made critical ship/hold decisions on model updates under pressure, identified and proposed solutions for overlapping model capability requests, developed a balanced 90-day roadmap, and resolved prioritization disagreements with senior engineers.
• • This is a platform-focused role where every user-facing product at Heidi relies on the foundational work delivered by your team, making your contribution central to the company's success.
• • You will report directly into Product leadership, working in either our Sydney or Melbourne office, and will be empowered to make impactful decisions.
